Thinking of my American followers in the path of the deep winter storm that is coming. Contrary to the words of the current US President, this is most likely a direct result of 'global warming'. Hotter air holds more moisture. A hotter atmosphere is more unstable. This storm is part of the polar vortex falling to lower latitudes due to that instability. Climate change brings chaos.
Do US schools not teach the difference between weather and climate? Teach the difference between local and global? I'm just curious how he can be so ill informed and ignorant. Rhetorical questions from me. I know that he is in the pocket of fossil fuel giants. He does, however, need to learn that there are no wild penguins in the Northern Hemisphere.
Stay safe out there in the coming winter storm my friends. Stock up. Prepare. Stay home and stay as warm as possible.

Sunset view from a bridge on my way back home near Delft, Netherlands. This open area between Delft and Schiedam is a favourite spot for migrant birds to make a pit stop.
If you zoom in on the sky you can even see some of those migrant birds. They are either making their way home or have decided quite late to migrate further south due to the sudden winter sting.
GO Transit referred to these former FP7s as Auxiliary Power-Control Units, or APCU's. They were sitting out the weekend at Guelph Junction in Campbellsville.
The 911 was built for the MILW and scrapped in 1995. The 903 was former Ontario Northland and it too was scrapped in 1995.
The 904 is also former Ontario Northland and was a bit more fortunate and was sold to Tri-Rail Florida in 1991. It was then sent to the Gold Coast Railroad Museum where it sits and rots in the Florida sun.

Trying out the 85mm lens for landscapes, I had to do a vertical pano of course! 4 frames stitched in Photoshop, 4 seconds at f/1.4, ISO3200 for each frame. Interesting air glow and I like the framing from the 85mm. I'm going to do this again!
Thank you to everyone who has wished me well in the new venture. I'm so sorry I haven't been very active here for the past week and I've missed seeing my contact's beautiful pictures but I won't be on again for a while now. It's just a very busy time and there are not enough hours in the day. I'll see you soon though my lovely friends. xx
A GO Transit test train comes to a simulated station stop at St. Marys. GO is currently looking to implement service between Kitchener and London via CN's Guelph Subdivision, and crews spent the weekend running test trains for timing and platform measurements. Currently GO service ends in Kitchener, about an hour drive from London. It will be interesting to see if this comes into fruition or not over the next few months.
*2025 Mike now speaking, the service happened and lasted for about a year before being discontinued but unfortunately I was only ever able to photograph the test runs since the revenue runs were only on weekdays, because who would have needed to take the train for leisure weekend purposes right?
