Melibe colemani, also known as the Coleman's melibe, ghost nudi, or ghost melibe, is a species of nudibranch in the family Tethydidae. Discovered by Neville Coleman in 2008 off the coast of the island of Mabul in Malaysia, it was formally described by Marta Pola and Terrence Gosliner in 2012 and named in honour of its discoverer. It is found throughout the Coral Triangle region of Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Due to its translucent body and network of brown tubules across its body, its appearance has been described as a "pile of strings" or a "string of snot in the water". This appearance is likely to serve as camouflage, resembling oceanic debris. Its strange appearance has led some to dub it "the holy grail of nudibranchs".
I found this ghostly looking packing in my kitchen. Some of my friends say ghosts live in old houses. When I was a boy, I was dreaming to see a HARMLESS ghost.
I had a chance to live in a place where people believe a ghost (old lady) exists. Unfortunately, I did not see the ghost, but my friend saw.
I've never seen a real ghost in my life. Still, I do NOT say "Ghosts do not exist."
I was trying to take a photo of my current favourite thing, grass, but the wind kept blowing and blowing making it difficult to focus on anything. Still, made for some interesting 'ghost' grass and golden bokeh.
Well, I just couldn't resist one more Harrier shot! Like I mentioned in my previous post, I did spend a lot of time with this bird over the winter. Here he is flaring his wings while scanning the ground below for prey. This will definitely be my last Grey Ghost image for a while. View large for best detail...note the blood on the talons.
Enjoy the weekend ~!
A very light colored Short-eared owl flying the fields at sunset. The background was illuminated by the last light of the day, as the sun was about to dip below the horizon. The light color of this owl and the fading light really did look like a ghost was flying in the fields. The owl was so close it was a frame filler, and at f/4 the shallow depth of field was limited mostly to the owls face and upper wing. Please view large for best experience.
Thank you for stopping by ~!
a very calm and peaceful early morning at Heybridge Basin, hardly any movement, only the schooner moved very slowly, this was 27 seconds of movement ...
“Ghosts don't haunt us. That's not how it works. They're present among us because we won't let go of them."
"I don't believe in ghosts," I said, faintly.
"Some people can't see the color red. That doesn't mean it isn't there," she replied.”

The Strongest Man Who Ever Lived - This Is The Way
Original :E-Type - This Is The Way
From this day no one's gonna tell me
What I should do or what I should not
That ain't the way, they show it baby
Fire it the whole way
So let them vultures prey on each other
Don't let them spoil it you've come this far
Coming out like a force of nature
This is the shape of things to come
This, this is the way
This is the way I want to live
I'm going through changes
This is the way I want to live
This, this is the way
This is the way I want to live
I'm going through changes
This is the way I want to live
So if you're feeling sort of down and out
Don't loose your faith, wipe away the doubt
You must take a stand that's what it's all about
If nothing else works just shout
You're no Baloney Homo Sapiens
You're the original king of the hill again
Coming out like a force of nature
This is the shape of things to come
This, this is the way . . .

... I only waited for my car after the inspection. There was nobody at the reception - at least I didn't see anyone ;-)

Rhyolite is a ghost town near the Nevada/California line outside of Death Valley. An old gold mining center, the mine played out and the town was essentially abandoned in 1916. Today some remnants of major buildings remain along with the occasional art installation. I found this one on my last visit to Rhyolite and enjoyed the whimsy of it.
Walking through the park I saw these pale leaves that were not receiving the sun's rays at all, they were healthy but very pale, while the rest of the leaves on the tree had a little more color, although not much. Apparently because of the change of season. I decided to make digital art with them, bleaching them white like little forest ghosts. I had a canvas a long time ago that I bought somewhere and it was something like this but it broke. Now I have my own canvas with this one.
Thank you very much for your visit and taking the time to comment! Really appreciated!
I found myself along my familiar section of canal on this foggy morning yesterday. When this loan walker went past me, we nodded and smiled. I quickly re-set the tripod and took some shots as she'd walked on by and off into the mist. It only occurred to me later on, when developing, that she really could have been a ghost...
Sorry for my lack of activity on Flickr recently, I've been so busy.
I will try and catch-up with my regular contacts a bit later on.
I visited St Mary's island thinking I would be alone for the sun going down but I was wrong. There were quite a few photographers there, a couple of which I caught in my long exposure which I think adds to the photograph.
Ghost crabs are semiterrestrial crabs of the subfamily Ocypodinae. They are common in tropical and subtropical regions throughout the world.
Shooting a lot at night in deserted places I sometimes feel the presence of the activity present during busier times. I undertook a series to try to capture that feeling. I took shots of busy places at night when they were quiet then came back & took multiple shots from exactly the same spot when they were busy. Figures from those daytime shots have been added (at less than full transparency) to the night base shot. This image is the result of combining elements of daytime shots with the base night shot.
