A ghost by the name of Jerome walk by my camera. It was a two or three second exposure and I had Judit click the trigger while I walked by.
JUST SOUTH OF LAKE ISABELLA in Bodfish, California sits a collection of old mining buildings arranged around a large courtyard. These ramshackle structures date as far back as the 1850s.

Hast Du schon einmal die Werbeplakate
in einer Fußgängerzone gezählt?
Oder all die Kameras,
die Dich unablässig überwachen?
Doch auch in den durchgestylten Shopping-Zonen
finden sich kreative Zeichen einer anderen Welt,
fernab von Kommerz, Konsum und Kontrolle.
Da lächelt Dich auf einer Betonwand ein Gesicht an,
ohne Dir etwas verkaufen zu wollen.
Du entdeckst zwischen Werbefassaden einen Stencil,
der die Lust auf Veränderung spiegelt.
Und Du liest eine Botschaft, die Dich daran erinnert,
wonach Du Dich wirklich sehnst ...
Diese Kunst in den Straßen nimmt sich
die Stadt zurück und eröffnet Freiräume.
Sie ist Gestaltung, Anregung und
Vision zugleich.

My friend, the responsible thing to do...
When buying a new pen is to sell another two.
So then my friend named "Harry M." bought one pen,
And he asked me to paint a Ghost-Terrarium for him.
That's when I took the new pen to a Moleskine page...
And drew a family of ten trapped in a ghost-shaped happy cage!
Bodie is a ghost town in the Bodie Hills east of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Mono County, California. Only a small part of the town survives, preserved in a state of arrested decay. Interiors remain as they were left and stocked with goods. Designated as a National Historic Site and a State Historic Park in 1962, the remains of Bodie are being preserved in a state of arrested decay. Today this once thriving mining camp is visited by tourists, howling winds and an occasional ghost.
