FORT BELVOIR NORTH AREA, Va. -- Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper shakes hands with U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Robert B. Murrett, outgoing director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), after presenting a medal during a Change of Director ceremony here Aug. 9, 2010. Leadership of NGA was transferred to Letitia A. Long, who comes to NGA from the Defense Intelligence Agency, where she served as the deputy director from May 2006 until July 2010. The ceremony was held on the site of NGA Campus East (NCE), a 2005 Base Realignment and Closure project which will consolidate various offices of NGA into a single campus here. Rogers is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Baltimore DIstrict program manager for the NGA New Campus East project, and DeLuca is the commander of the USACE North Atlantic Division.
Baltimore District is managing design and construction of the $1.77 billion New Campus East.
