Client: the National Geospatial Development Center (WVU-NRCS)

While working for the NGDC as a graphic designer, I was tasked with redesigning the web site (my first web project for a client).

I wanted to communicate maps and map-making, and so developed a layered map illustration for the header and footer. The color scheme, meanwhile, was based on WVU and NRCS colors.

The original site had few pages, so another aspect of the redesign involved working with the staff to create a new navigation for the site and content for the new pages.

Once these elements were finalized, I built the site in Dreamweaver, then consulted with WVU University Relations- Web staff to make sure the site fit WVU branding standards. Once this step was complete, the site went live!

The site can be viewed here: www.ngdc.wvu.edu/home.
