The binary scarf was inspired by a pattern seen on knitty.com, and the beginning of the pi scarf is my own design.
ETA, January 2009: Sadly, I am not quite finished with either, as I have also begun to knit one that sort of resembles a TARDIS...
Voting starts tomorrow in the Spoonflower Bag pattern design contest.
Cut and Sew panel will be available at Spoonflower by Wednesday April 4th.
They don't look like it, but these pretty much took forever to make. Each table was named after a different fictional location from TV, movies, books, and video games. (Heavily inspired by these).
I designed them all in Photoshop (four to a page) and printed them on Avery 5820 folding business cards. Setting up the template to print correctly was the hardest part for some unknown reason.
A cookie to anyone who can name all the fandoms represented! =)
I work in comics and there are all kinds of things hidden in our office. This is only a very small fraction of what we have around.
One of several test shots I took for geeky Pin-Up project. My favorite in terms of facial expression.
Adorable plush by Handmade Stuffs. Each plush is made from an original pattern is soft anti-pill fleece. The arms are jointed, the head can turn, and the toys are able to sit. Check out www.handmadestuffs.com for more information and www.etsy.com/shop/HandmadeStuffs for purchasing.
I bought an iPod Shuffle today. 4 gigs. This thing is TINY. It's a stick of gum sized.
I had some trouble enabling VoiceOver. The solution was as I'd installed iTunes on D: not C: - so I had to manually copy C:\Program Files\iTunes\iPodVoiceOver.dll to D:\Program Files\iTunes\iPodVoiceOver.dll. It then worked like a dream.
Smart playlists have been set up to choose a random set of songs to play (with secondary playlists which allow me to choose just a particular subset).
Is good - though I can see that not everyone will 'get' smart playlists from the documentation supplied. Other than these hiccoughs, now sorted, it is very good. Though I'm scared of losing the thing!
This is my picture for the 25th March, 2009
Hmm, nice placement of that mouse button, Jennie.
Are you sure your folks know what you do for a living?
I decided to get a tattoo ages ago and, since my interests (read 'manias') have changed over the years I wanted a tattoo that represent a bit of everything.
I didn't get it all in there but I'm very pleased how it turned out.
Fact:
I like science and I like beards (on guys that is). Mustaches are alright too.
:)
And what's nerdier, I stole those goggles from where I work...
the Museum of Science and History.
(i conduct various science experiments for patrons out on the floor)
I wore them for a static electricity experiment and when I was done, well..
I just didn't take them off.

The URL on the sticker is for a now-defunct (I think) team of people who built a robot car for a DARPA contest in 2005. Since DARPA does military stuff, it's not really my cup of tea - I prefer the small-scale hobbyist geekery like Robot Sumo, but the big high-dollar robot cars are very impressive.
Managed to find something cute for her to wear in my pullip clothes. Absolutely HAD to get her out of all that red. I really like this look and it works well but not quite right.
