Having a little fun with my photobooth. Next time I'll try it without so many clothes :-)

I decided to get a tattoo ages ago and, since my interests (read 'manias') have changed over the years I wanted a tattoo that represent a bit of everything.

I didn't get it all in there but I'm very pleased how it turned out.

Looks like the server at work needs some serious upgrading... It does this all the time.

Celeron 2.0Ghz, 1024MB RAM, 2x 120GB Maxtor setup as Raid 1 (mirror)

and a bunch of other stuff...

Hubby's shirt from work, with 'fake' pocket protector. It was free (I would never let him buy anything like this) and he is not allowed to wear it in public.

Ever wondered where all your IP packets are going when you look up a website? No, probably not! However, it can still be interesting to find out!

www.yougetsignal.com is an interesting tool that does a tracert, looks up geo coordinates and maps them on a google map for you.

It feels kind of odd to me, to discover that a lookup between London and York quickly jumps over to Los Angeles and Montréal! To travel the distance by land would be over 11,000 miles!

It may not be overly romantic, but we speak the same language. (No, we don't IM each other when we are in the same room!) ;-)

Back in June I had the (terrifying) honour of photographing one of my best friends' weddings. Luckily I had a co-photographer who helped me out a lot, and we hired some higher spec gear, to avoid missing 'the shot'. The day was actually a lot less stessful than I'd imagined and I really enjoyed being a part of it. It was quite a nerdy wedding, with tables named after pokemon and some very scientific vows, which was brilliant. I cried a lot during the ceremony, it was very moving. It's taken me a long time to get round to doing the editing, and it's very different from the kind of photography I'm used to, but I think I'm happy with the results. My favourites are the portraits, as that's more my thing!

A couple of weeks ago, Cristiano and I met up with Carlo and Fabiana in Regent's Park for a photo shoot... where we were the models. Now neither of us are that natural when it comes to posing for photos, but I love love love how some of these photos turned out. Thanks Carlo and Fabiana!

okay, so yes those would be the glasses you get for 3D movies with the lenses cut out but i needed something to distract from my clearly triangular face...

Just so everyone knows, the molecule-model there is a Guinness World Record breaking one. It was part of the WORLD'S BIGGEST model of DNA which toured UK shopping centres, c.2002.

Also, Dr. Bunsen's hands are too big for his lab coat's pockets. Poor Dr. Bunsen.
