I say "Fuzzy" because of the photo quality, not because of the fox himself.
For reference, this shot was taken in the very late afternoon or early evening, so not the best ISO conditions. And this shot is 600mm at 1.6x crop factor (R7), plus with a 1.4x teleconverter. Hence the official focal length is 840mm.
So, I have used this 1.4x teleconverter very, very sparingly. It doesn't work with Auto focus on my 6D; it does Autofocus on the R7. But... the shot is not exactly sharp! ISO conditions don't help here.
But... this is the first time that I have gotten a shot of a fox here. We have photos are all kinds of animals here, but this is the first fox.

EXPLORE #304 October 15, 2008 Thanks to Yobs for the news!
A special Thank You to sunshadows for the following little poem which she added to her comment below. Check out her photostream. She does wonderful work! www.flickr.com/photos/sunshadows/
fuzzy wuzzy was a bee
he flew each day from tree to tree
he looked down upon the prairie hill
and thought this is the place for me!

A macro view of a calculator keypad depicting fuzzy math and murky numbers. The frame represents a span of one-inch.
This was one of the most boring-looking calculators I have ever seen in my entire life; I bought it for $1 at a Dollar Tree store. And when I put it under the lens it looked even worse. In fact, the closer I looked, the less photogenic it got. I have a theory that every subject has magic, it just needs to be revealed. Well, it took me more than 200 shots, with varying lenses and light configurations, to "reveal" this scene that you see here. I hope you like it...
Strobist info:
The scene was illuminated by one Nikon SB900 speedlight with snoot attached, placed 11- o'clock, slightly above camera level, and fired in Manual mode @ 1⁄32 power.
The SB900 was triggered by two PocketWizard Plus X triggers.
Lens: Helios 44M-4 f2/58mm with 20mm extension tube attached. (The aperture was f2, rather than the f3.5 that is listed in the EXIF).
Here is the Fuzzy Bud after it has started to open. I believe that this is from the female Poplar tree.
I thank all of you for enquiring about me...... as you can imagine my life intervened with my flickr time.... so I had to be off most of the past few months. I missed you all and your wonderful pictures.
Many thanks to all those who view, fav or comment my pictures. It is much appreciated.
A fuzzy dupe that makes you wish you had a time machine...circa mid 1970s. Definitely taken from the Holiday Inn... no photographer listed, JL Sessa collection.
Okay guys...here's the deal...I've been pretty quiet on both the cameras and the computer.....I have an inflamed finger..yes my clicky finger...I'm getting surgery on Friday morning...It's also 1 of my 2 typing fingers.....lol....

I never see these guys so I was very excited to find him nosing around our yard the other day :)
This has been identified (thanks, Carla) as a spotted oleander moth caterpillar.
I found some cool weeds the other day at a construction site nearby. I always think people must see me taking pictures of weeds and think, "what is wrong with her?" If they do, oh well! Trying to get over that. :)
