on the morning of September 1, 2018
it stopped raining long enough for me
to go outside and take this picture
with my camera deciding that it wanted
to use a slow shutter speed...
ME:
Hello little one!
BEAR:
Good afternoon Madam.
ME:
Are you waiting for somebody? You've been sitting here on the bench for a long time.
BEAR:
Yes Madam. I wait for a lady to take me to my second cousin.
ME:
Where are you from?
BEAR:
Canada Madam
ME:
Then you have made a long journey. Where does your second cousin live?
BEAR: Somewhere in the Netherlands. I don't remember the address. But...I had a dream of Starbeer who told me that I have to wait on this bench until a lady comes to pick me up.
ME:
Tell me what your second cousin's name is and what he looks like.
BEAR:
Oleg madam.
He is wearing checkered pants, a green bow and a black hat
ME:
But........I think....I know.....that I'm the one you're waiting for. Oleg lives in my house.
Your name... is....is that............... Fuzz?
BEAR:
Yes Madam, they call me Fuzzy.
ME;
What an adventure! I think you have a lot to tell, but first we get something to eat for you 'cause you must have a grumbly tummy..
FUZZY:
Oh yes Madam, I haven't eaten in over 24 hours. Thank you very much.
ME:
Come, let's go Fuzzy, you're safe with me.
Showy Bronze Copper butterfly flashing a bit of leg and wing while perched on a blade of meadow sedge.
So Joey thought If he pretended to be a worm, I would not notice him. I am sorry, Joey, but you failed this time :)
Macro Mondays theme Sidelit
I have no idea what these are other than some rather attractive looking seedheads that I spotted on our woodland walk yesterday. I must admit that I did have a bit of a battle with this theme to get the light how I wanted it.
The total width of the image is approx 3cm.
Happy Macro Mondays! 😄
An old drovers road between Oakley and Kempshott on the outskirts of Basingstoke. The hedges have grown over this section as perfect arches. I love these special lanes and wrote this poem. englepip.photography/2018/09/23/a-magical-world-in-a-fair...
Fuzzy wuzzy likes lamps, a lot. Found this little guy on our porch last weekend. Despite being so incredibly annoying while trying to sit outside at night, they are kinda cute up close.
American lappet moth
it sends my eyes a bit fuzzy too, but after taking this at various apertures I got fascinated by the tiny details of the feather touching the glass...so I kept it fuzzy :)
