Greta brings Fuzzy to me as a gift each night while we're asleep. She won't bring it directly to me, but rather leaves at the foot of or on the chairs I sit in.

This is an absolutely ancient image from my HD, it felt nice to re-edit it in the way I am used to now, looks so much better!

These lovely grasses grow in the front yard. They are not safe for dogs to be around. Their seeds are very small and can be inhaled or get stuck in the dog causing serious irritations. Keep your pets away from them!
Bumblebee on vitex flowers during the Texas summer. Neither the insect nor the shrub seem to mind the heat and drought.

I would be exaggerating to suggest I am well versed in mycology, but I can say mushrooms have fascinated me for many years. I’m delighted when I run across one I have never seen before. I was able to identify this one; it is Panus neostrigosus. Mostly, it’s just cool. And fuzzy.

I am sorry, but I don't know for sure what kind of plant/weed this is. It might be milkweed. Maybe someone can help me out.
I just liked the dazzling, fuzzy way this "blossom gone to seed" looked in a stray beam of sunlight.

Apologies for not catching up with my flickr friends this week, it's been a bit fraught. I took this leafless tree at Toowong beside the Brisbane River as it's curly and fuzzy branches and twigs were a bit different. Goodness knows if it is dead or just deciduous. Otherwise it is just The Tree!
Went to an Orchid show at the planting fields Arboretum yesterday, I had great 5 hour shooting flowers plus the grounds,
Fuzzy-leafed gesneriads, kohlerias (Kohleria spp.) originated in Mexico and South America.
Because they are mainly tropical, often beautiful and frequently exotic, people sometimes wonder if the gesneriads are a kind of orchid. They’re not closely related, but there are some similarities.
Closely related to the Gesneriads is the large foxglove family, the Scrophulariaceae. Many common garden ornamentals come from this group, including foxglove (Digitalis), snapdragons (Antirrhinum), monkey flower (Mimulus), Veronica, Calceolaria and Pentstemon.

This nestling, mostly covered in fuzzy down with just a few developing feathers, clings to the branch where it was hatched. White terns are arboreal nesting seabirds, but do not actually construct a nest, relying instead on a hollow, fork, or pruning scar on the tree branch to balance an egg. This observant two week old chick uses its clawed web feet to keep its grip while it awaits its parents to return from the sea with a meal of fresh fish or squid. The white tern is also known as the manu o Kū, bird of the Hawaiian war god Kū.
