I took a ton of shots on this particular day. You know how it is. You take a ton of shots. You pick the best shots to process and post then the rest just sit there on your hard drive. Anyway, I was looking thru them and thought this was post-worthy. Wide shot of Fuzzy Butt below.
I keep seeing goofy faces on these plants, take a look....

This was my photo from yesterday. Didnโt have any time to get out my camera. Our daughter had a concert at her college that we went to and then spent the night with her last night and most of today. It was a cool concert. She is a music composition major. The composition majors wrote music that was then performed by the performance majors. Day 95 of 365
Another angle of the last flower! I find the colors of the background pretty amazing. Photography is like painting.

I know...I photograph them way too much. I can't help it, they make for great subjects at car shows haha.
This fuzzy little bundle of baby fox was curious about me. I was very fortunate that he was and I got a couple shots before they vanished. Mom's tail was wagging by his face. :)
Morning Glory, with this unidentified butterfly . This is a Horace's Duskywing Skipper - Erynnis horatius. ID by Daisy Mai-Ling, and I thank her.
He looks a little scary this close up, but "in person" was very tiny and even timid. Believe that this is a Brown Belted Bumblebee. This little fuzzy guy was hanging out enjoying some pretty pink posies. Always a challenge to try to catch a shot as they move from spot to spot so very quickly.

This is Okenite, from Bombay, India. Aprox. 4cm
Okenite (CaSi2O. 5ยท 2H2O) is a silicate mineral that is usually associated with zeolites. It most commonly is found as small white "cotton ball" formations within basalt geodes. These formations are clusters of straight, radiating, fibrous crystals that are both bendable and fragile.
Thank you for looking!

Elk outside of the Ranger Village near Mammoth Hot Springs.
They just hang out right next to the road. Be respectful though.
Terrific Thursday to you.
I love seeing these adorable, fuzzy-faced, poison-drinking little bees. So far I have only seen males - they emerge first, then hang around in bars, I mean flowers, drinking and fighting and waiting for the females to appear. This solitary mining bee is a specialist on Death Camas (Toxicoscordion) flowers, which are toxic to most other creatures - from honey bees to cattle. (Andrena astragali, Montana)
