This was my photo from yesterday. Didn’t have any time to get out my camera. Our daughter had a concert at her college that we went to and then spent the night with her last night and most of today. It was a cool concert. She is a music composition major. The composition majors wrote music that was then performed by the performance majors. Day 95 of 365

This fuzzy little bundle of baby fox was curious about me. I was very fortunate that he was and I got a couple shots before they vanished. Mom's tail was wagging by his face. :)

American Dagger Moth (Acronicta americana)

These caterpillars may appear cute and fuzzy, but they are toxic. When a person comes into contact with the hairs of an American Dagger Moth, the hairs break off of the caterpillar and embed into the skin of the person. These hairs are connected to glands just below the surface of the caterpillar's skin which produce toxins known to cause a variety of skin irritations.

Thank you so much for your visits, faves and comments!

This is Okenite, from Bombay, India. Aprox. 4cm

Okenite (CaSi2O. 5· 2H2O) is a silicate mineral that is usually associated with zeolites. It most commonly is found as small white "cotton ball" formations within basalt geodes. These formations are clusters of straight, radiating, fibrous crystals that are both bendable and fragile.
