Beginnings of a functional hood scoop

Description:

All of our tables are customized and made to order. This table was a customized piece we created for a client in Asia. This very unique table was constructed from a Reclaimed Solid Slab of Thai Acacia which is an extremely rare wood. It takes a many years for this type of wood tree to grow to these sizes. It is a extra hard wood and has beautiful deep grain. The dimensions of this table are 3.10 meter in length x 1 meter to 1.3 meter (free form) in width x 78 cm in height and the table top is 4 inches in thickness. We finished the table top in a Teakwood color finish and designed the legs in solid steel and had them powder coated.

About Us:

Flow is an established lifestyle concept company that bridges the gap between raw nature and modern living. We allow nature to guide our hands, not only to inspire but also to dictate our creative process, making our tables a culmination of both natural beauty and human artistry.

Our direction in furniture design is a channel for exposing the miracle and beauty of the natural\ world by producing uniquely organic functional art. When sourcing for wood slabs we hand select and evaluate each individual piece by it's size, natural shape, thickness, color, characteristics of the grain, texture, figure and structural integrity. We look for slabs which have the most beautiful grain and

natural characteristics because we feel that it's nature's art that can be seen and

enjoyed everyday.

Lead Time:

Our lead time is 4 to 6 weeks to create your table which I will keep you involved and updated from start to finish of your table creations by emails and photos. We feel that we are working together with you bringing to life your timeless table. We are very passionate in each table we create and want to share each step of this passion with you.

A visit to the "Musée de la Civilisation Gallo-Romaine", Lyon, France, on October 27, 2022, accompanied by my SLR Miranda Auto Sensorex EE.

The camera was loaded with a CineStill 400 Dynamic (400D) and configured with the loupe finder X5 and x15 and its normal lens Auto Miranda E 1:1.8 f=50 mm fitting original Miranda 52mm Skylight filter.

The film was exposed for 400 ISO following the readings of the camera (measuring mode "S") or a Minolta Autometer III fitted with a 10° finder. Indoor exposures were hand-held typically at 1/30s and full aperture. The film was then developed using a local C-41 development local service.

After process the film was digitalized using a Sony A7 body and a Minolta Slide Duplicator with a Minolta Auto Bellows III with a lens Minolta Bellow Macro Rokkor 50mm f/3.5.

Other AI-based smartphone pictures and information notes available in the museum could be found in this companion album here : flic.kr/s/aHBqjAcSdv

About the camera :

This camera was initially sold out on March 15, 1972 to a first customer in Abbeville, France, and resold as a second hand by "Photo Ciné Saint Lazare", Paris, France one year later at spring 1973.

The camera was sold to me in March 2022 with the three finders available, three lenses Miranda Auto E, 1:1.8 f=50 mm, 1:2.8 f=28 mm, 1:2.8 f=105 mm all equipped with Miranda Skylight 52 mm filters.

EE stands for "Electric Eye", a system of diaphragm automated by the circuitry operating two CdS cells located behind the reflex mirror and making the photometry independent of the finders. The Miranda EE has two measuring mode : the pondered A (A as "Ambiant") and the S (spot) with the possibility to "memorize" the light value standing the release button at mid course as on modern camera's. the whole photometric system is fully functional on this camera and gives reading similar to a trusted external silicium electronic photometer (Minolta Auto Meter III).

I did a single film Bergger Pancro400 in February 2022 and a stocked 4 others 35mm cartridges in my fridge for a future use. At that time, I exposed the film for 400 ISO and developed it using Ilford Ilfosol at the dilution 1+9 for 8min at 20°C. I found the film weakly developed with low densities but still usable for digital processing.

I did the same with Adox Adonal with the horrific results of the preceding series. I decided here to apply another set of parameters found the www.digitaltruth.com database with "liquid Ultrafine" that I realized later that I confused with my Tetenal "Ultrafin". To my little experience Ultrafin developpers are quite active formulas providing negatives of high density. However the indicated 1+4 dilution looks bizarre to me since Ultrafin is rather used at 1+10 or 1+20 dilution. The developing time of 14 min looks also very long.

At the dilution 1+4, 20°C and 14min, the film looks burned and a dark basis came on the film. However all frames could be digitally processed easily....

This is clearly too strong development conditions. I would try next series the same Tetenal Ultrafin but diluted 1+10 for 8-12 min.(HP5+ requires 8min at 20°C with Ultrafin 1+10).

For shooting, I used the same equipment : my Topcon Super D (produced in Tokyo, year 1972) and it normal lens Tokyo Kogaku RE Auto Topcor 1:1.8 f=58 mm for exposures.

Expositions were determined for 320 ISO (not 400 as recommended by certain users) either using either the camera reading or my Autometer III Minolta lightmeter with its 10° viewfinder for selective measurements.

About the camera: Tokyo Kogaku company (Topcon) produced SLR camera's and lenses until 1976 before giving up producing camera. The company continued its activities in opticals and still exists today for medical (ophthalmology) instruments and topography.

The Topcon SLR's were considered as particularly reliable, constructeur as the best scientific instruments of that time. The "Super D" has a exchangeable finders and could be motorized without modifications making them direct competitors of the Nikon F's (Nikon F2 at this time en 1972).

The camera was sold to me in March 2022 with the normal lens Tokyo Kogaku RE Auto Topcor 1:1.8 f=58 mm and a Canon bag to host the camera. The photometric system is functional and uses a CdS located on reflex mirror as the Miranda EE.

Cpl Carron is performing a gun functional on a CF-18 at Câmpia-Turzii for Op. Reassurance 2014.

The place where is located the Villa of S. Cucufate initiates is long and diversified history with the occupation of the place from the Final Neolithic period, having been later inhabited by a pré-roman population.

The roman Villa presents itself as the classic type of property of intense exploration, exclusively guided for the market. In archaeological terms is combined with the communication routes and nearby the cities. This type of property estimates the existence of a work force about 10/12 persons of servile condition or exempts, but not connected with the proprietary. So in the middle of I century AD has been held to build a villa, with conditions and sizes still too rustic, but that it guessed already the implantation or reconstruction of a new Villa adapted to the architectural, aesthetic and functional necessities of the time, namely the II century AD, constituting one of the few examples in Iberian Peninsula Villae cum turris.

The building is abandoned during the great barbarian invasions, and only comes back to be reoccupyed, later, around X century AD, by Muslim communities. During the Christian Reconquest, in the XII century, is again abandoned by its occupants, only to return to life in the XIII century, where was established a monastery, which remains until the XVI century and whose patron saint gave the name to the building which today is S. Cucufate.

Although it was probably evacuated with the threat of collapse, the village kept its chapel, whose cult was perpetuated until the XVIII century.

Monument of high value and extremely well preserved, the villa of S. Cucufate was located in the administrative district of Pax Iulia, this city has been, probably, its major customer in the market for wine, bread and olive oil, being this type of production become certified by the discovery of grape pips near some presses weights, and by the respective mill.
