Locomotive Di 4 651 is turning around it's trainset in Åndalsnes station. Normally only DMU run on Raumaline, but for passengers of cruise ships coming into Isefjord these loco hauled trains take a trip the scienic Romsdalen up to Bjorli. One of todays cruizer is the "Grand Mistral".

One of few raw files my friend handed me over to play with, two years ago. The results were not so satisfactory with previous software (maybe lack of propoer knowledge too). As I am rediscovering the magic of raw files again now that I am using CaptureOne, I went back to dig in my friend's archive.
Bear in mind this is a massive crop from d810, but still has decent result on fullHD screen.

On the slovenian line between Nova Gorica and Sezana several mountains must be crossed. One of the most stunning spots may be the view to Rihemberk Castle near Branik station. Freighttrain 51086 is on its way northover.

Wonderful old infrastructure: The telegraph line was in use until 2013 and the semaphor signals are still in use. But RB 24761 from Uelzen to Braunschweig is no longer a 624/634 DMU, because these vehicles are out of use since 2005 or 2006. The train departs from Wittingen to the south.
A graffito on the train has been removed in electronical way.

Loco "Hamburg" in Hamburg: The operator Metrans has three blue 295 in operation in Hamburg harbour area, named "Budapest", "Praha" and "Hamburg". From footbridge Zellmannstraße we observe "Hamburg" 295 092 shunting only one wagon towards Mühlenwerder. This rail connection now gets a third track. In background we see Eurokombi container terminal.
One of the greatest spots on Koperline is the view from the hill above the ghost village of Zanigrad. But it's very rare to have such a clear view as far as the Alpes. A tank train heads hill down towards Koper, the only harbour of Slovenia. The town visible in the background at the shore of Mediterranean Sea is Triest, Italy.

EN: This year the ore trains from Ørtfjell to Mo i Rana are hauled by Cargonet Euro 4000 locos. Along river Ranaelven the empty train 5767 leaves Mo city towards the mountains.

There is still a lot of snow in the mid of June on Saltfjell, where the norwegian Nordlandsbane crosses the arctic circle. The nighttrain 475 from Trondheim is observed with one of the arctic circle pyramides.
One of the new locohauled passenger trains in Sweden is the one of TAGAB between Karlstad and Göteborg. Hauled by a SSRT loco - incidentally in similar colors to the TAGAB cars - train 8101 is observed along the park of Bryngenäs manor, just a bit behind Alingsås.
On the swedish Malmbana an IORE hauled ore train from Kiruna to Narvik is on its way between the loops of Kaisepakte and Stordalen. In background lake Torneträsk is visible.
EN: There is no sheduled traffic on OHE Line Lüneburg - Hützel. Bad rumors want to know, that the line is to be abandoned next time. During summer season each wednesday AVL operates an historic train on this route between Bispingen and Lüneburg. We see that train between Soderstorf and Schwindebeck.

The CargoNet freighttrain leaves the 10589m long Finsetunnel on norwegian Bergenbane. Above the tunnel you can see the old railwayline before the tunnel was opened.
To see class 218 locos on Oberhafenbrücke in the southern entrance of Hamburg Centralstation is very rare. At this day there was a diversion because of engineering work on the line called "Verbindungsbahn" between Centralstation and Altona. IC 2074 to Westerland had to leave the Centralstation to the south and continued via freight line to the north.
The Cement Tank Train runs uphill with Smardale in background. After some minutes it will reach Kirkby Stephen station.
EN: On its way from Banja Luka to Priboj train 6403 stops in the little station of Prisoje. In 2010 this village was not connected by street, cars had to use a bad dirt way.

EN: The container train from Åndalsnes is now operated by the swedish company Green Cargo. From Åndalsnes to Dombås train 5242 is hauled by a tripel of old T44 engines. All three engines wear different liveries, but no one the actual one of Green Cargo: The blue and orange are former SJ designs and the green one is the livery of the former operator TGOJ.

The monteneginian part of the railway line from Belgrade to Bar is always mentioned as one of the most exciting railway lines. But the part of that line across Serbia offers also a lot of amazing landscape! Totally desolated from any roads the line crosses the mountains of Zlatibor. B 431 "Tara" crosses Ribnica I Viaduct and will pass Ribnica station in a few seconds. The train is hauled by a monteneginian 461.

EN: On Rhätische Bahn (RhB) the class Be4/4 units were in duty for local traffic around the Grisons capitol Chur. We observe a local train from Thusis to Landquart right before reaching Reichenau-Tamins station.

It's the second time the Glacier Express 906 runs along this point. The first time it came from back on the lower level behind the embankment where we see the train now. The train came from Zermatt, changed direction and loco in Chur and heads up for St Moritz now. While we see the train leaving Reichenau-Tamins, the 2533m high Hochwang serves as backdrop.
EN: For some years the operator OHE was on duty for shunting in Hemmingstedt refinery and to haul two pairs of tank trains between Hemmingstedt and Brunsbüttel. One of these trains is observed in one of the final sunspots that day between Meldorf and St Michaelisdonn along nature reservat Barlter Kleve.
