Jonathan’s beautiful invitation was printed in silver ink on black paper, with a silver bottom layer and the Bar Mitzvah boy’s name embossed in black ink on a piece of translucent vellum. I layered the invitation on silver paper embossed with a mesh texture, black-on-black striped cardstock and translucent silver vellum, and accented the first layer with metal dots. The background includes black, silver, white, and translucent paper in a variety of textures. I used a stamp with script similar to the font used for the name to create the embossed silver-on-black paper at the top left and the black-on-vellum paper at the bottom right. Stars of David were cut from other paper I embossed, including black-on-black and silver-on-silver. Silver mesh, a silver mat, and the black frame are the finishing touches.

so, once again i've managed to neglect flickr... clearly i underestimated how busy this semester was going to be, it's pretty much the same as last term. lots of work and no time for flickr! i'm on holiday right now so am trying to catch up a little bit. of course for every photo i'm posting i took 10 more just today, so it will take me quite a while to get caught up :(
it kills me that i can't post the photos i've taken recently yet, since i want to share all my other ones first from way back in the summer! well at least hopefully these photos will bring some summer warmth during the cold winter months. i've missed you all of course and will try and catch up on your photostreams asap!

Shots of the GWAR drum head that I purchased from the 930 Club and had custom shadow-box framed. Hells yeah!
We see people laugh, cry, sit alone, chat happily, get angry, sad, etc. Sometimes we judge them, we paint them with our words and color them with our eyes. But we often forget to look at ourselves and think of what we are doing.
Yes, we are also in a frame. We are what we do.

My manager liked my work so I printed a couple on our poster printer for display at work. This is the first one, she framed it and will put in matting and posted it in a common work area. Needless to say, for a Monday morning I was psyched.
I have a lot more up in the rafters but i figured this would be a good place to have frames that are being worked on now or soon.
