Managed to snap this one as the sun was emerging over the horizon - the framing was a challenge with so much clutter
Looking through my archives I realized we've been to this spot three times and never posted a shot....so here's my take on the iconic Turret Arch seen through South Window in Arches National Park.

Perfect light conditions on the foreground makes this a perfectly framed sunset on the Donk, during one of our walks this weekend
New York City's Empire State Building as viewed from Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Clear October skies and dramatic clouds after a Norr'Easter....
Another from my bouquet - I seemed to get just one of several different flowers - which suited me fine from a photographer's point of view!! I tried to present them in different ways - don't want to get monotonous do I? Lol ....
Sunrise is a lovely time of day.
This was taken a few hundred yards from my house... Castlecaulfield has a wonderful horticultural society and they created a lovely wee conservation area just above the playing fields, and I stepped in through the gate to get this framed shot.
I was almost deafened with the birdsong, it was awesome!!
This week, we're in for lots of rain, but hopefully the sunshine is on the cards again soon. I hope our Summer isn't over just yet LOL
Have a great week every one, and thank you for taking the time to stop by and comment :)
The Akerselva River in Oslo, framed by trees. This river, including its source, is entirely within the city of Oslo. We did a nice hike along it this morning in the rain.
These bare branches of wisteria will burst into beautiful purple flowers in spring, really only a couple of months away now!
We already have an extra hour of daylight each afternoon.....
Sixth image in Bird Art series...
I enjoyed some creative framing here, highlighting the American Robin in an oval design.
I like challenging myself to try new techniques and styles in my photography. It's fulfilling and helps me think outside the box. Maybe it keeps my old brain from turning to mush!
Intha Lake fishermen, renowned for their distinctive technique, navigate the waterways with a remarkable leg-rowing style. Perched at the stern of their slender wooden boats, these skilled fishermen balance on one leg while the other is wrapped around the oar. With a synchronized motion, they propel the boat forward, their arms free to manage the intricacies of the conical nets. This unique technique, evolved over generations, allows them to navigate the lake's shallow waters, where reeds and floating gardens abound. Their dexterity extends to the handling of the conical nets, an artful craft passed down through ancestral knowledge. With precision and grace, they manipulate these nets using a circular motion, skillfully casting them into the water to ensnare the abundant fish that thrive in Inle Lake's rich ecosystem. The harmony between their rowing and net handling embodies a tradition that not only sustains their livelihood but also stands as a testament to their cultural heritage and intimate relationship with the lake.
