No matter the size of whoever tries to get close, this little teal protects its companion, a duck at all times...

It's the most beautiful thing to see LOL

Não importa o tamanho de quem tenta se aproximar, esse pequeno marreco protege sua companheira, uma pata o tempo todo...

É a coisa mais linda de se ver LOL

Lady in beautiful frame

This is one of the frame from the video that I posted some time ago! I wanted to post some of the frames that went into the clip but never got around to it and so here we go! Hope everyone had a wonderful day and that preparations are well underway for Christmas!! Taken on Armand Bayou near Bay Area Park on a most memorable morning!!

Toadstool Hoodoos, southern Utah.

Male Eastern Bluebird chose a nice spot for his 2022 winter portrait. He checked an old nest site; I hope he will return. Morgan County, Alabama.

we've had a week of nice mornings - found this view of oilseed rape - the vivid yellow enhanced by the low sun and mist... just had to position myself in the frame to add that human interest and support the image.

Another sunset over the North Sea. The beach is at De Panne (Belgium)

Another from our camping trip to Devon with all the family. As the evening draws the day to a close and the winds pick up, out come the kite surfers to enjoy the beach more or less to themselves.

Phone camera on the beach.

One of many thousands of views available of old, junk cars at the famous "Old Car City" in White, Georgia.

This is the neat view I had on my hike back out from the sunset spot I had while at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Here with some of the burnt trees in this section along the ridge, this evening blue hour view from the highlands overlooking the open area below with the lights of Montrose, Colorado there framed in this view next to the neat left over trees.

View below in the comments is the capture taken of the Canyon prior to this capture (during the hike back out through the woods from the overlook)

Enjoyed magical effect of levitation at the hotel bar which offers a sweeping view of Tokyo in the blue hour.

On both sides, glass art illuminated with green light symbolizes a water fall which echoes the sound of silence.

Late in the last month (July 2016), a new hotel opened in the 180-meter-tall Kioi tower on the site of the Akasaka Prince Hotel formerly known as "Akapri" among Japanese business person preferring contraction of words.

Tokyo is constantly replacing the old with the new and the result of renewal is always more than amazing.

"nd in my theme for the week Framed. I have called this Lunch with Leopald. I like the multiple framing going on here. Taken in the De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill, East Sussex, UK.

Pleasing aesthetics can be found even in decay.

A photo-idea that often works pretty well. Here, looking at San Pablo reservoir from the Nimitz Trail in Tilden Park.

A couple more shots of my mini series on framed sun taken at Briton Ferry. I have tried to photograph the contrasts between industrial dereliction and nature reclaiming the land!

Framed clouds through the windows of the old Delicias railway station (1880-1969), in Madrid, Spain, which currently houses the Railway Museum.

The truth is that the clouds threatened rain, but in the end it was a great afternoon and night.

In that old station, with a monthly frequency, a temporary market called "Mercado de Motores" is organized, although in reality all kinds of items are sold, such as antiques, clothing, accessories, and food items for gourmets.

There I recently bought a delicious meat from cattle raised in a completely natural way, even with food produced by a farm in the province of Toledo.

NUBES ENMARCADAS, 2023

Used some elements there along the north rim of the Grand Canyon for this composition.

A female stands in water grooming in the middle of a small flock. While the males get a lot more attention, I find the females have a lovely subtle plumage, and the fall reflections on the water framed the scene well.

A larger group spent several weeks on the Lake in the fall, spooked and flushed periodically by Hawks and the occasional Bald Eagle. The species is a frequent fall visitor, and there are occasional northbound migrants in the spring.

A feature of the species that always seems striking to my eye is the short, beautifully coloured bill. It is often described as ‘goose-like’ and it helps them have greater pulling force on the underwater greens that form the core of their diet.
