For everyone whos been waiting to get a Scrambler...theyre just about here. Preorders opened for the new V3s today so get on it! This version of the Scrambler has the same geometry as its predecessor but with a few additions. The dropout are now laser cut and a different shape which allows a 40c tire to pop into th rear easily. Raw is now a color option along with the black and white available before. Two new features entirely are the top tube gusset and mini cable guides for running a rear brake. These will probably sell out like the last two batches of V2s so dont sleep on it.

Custom idea. Custom size/proportion.
I call the process Image-Specific-Framing . . . because the framing elements (including the inner border) are drawn from the original image, the subject's background locale. Assembly from that source promotes a natural, interactive coordination of color and tone. With hundreds of design variation possibilities. Such assembly is an impossible feat for a frame shop. Or, for that matter, for any generic, digital framing program.
So. You may comment on the casually-shot, casual portrait if that's what is prominent for you here. Yes, this is a portrait but it is really the image-to-frame partnership, the special presentation, that is on display here. I make the case that involved, interactive framing such as this can be more individually unique than can conventional framing. And therefore, more personal.
This tailored stylizing is meant to be presented as a custom-sized print mounted with either beveled glass or standard non-glare glass. Assembly is with a clip kit. There you have it. Image-Specific-Framing.
Another lovely Sunday. Went for a really good climb with Tim this morning, then after a fish finger sandwich lunch and a quick trip out (Tim to the barbers, me to the supermarket), we had a very relaxing afternoon, and Tim cooked us a delicious black bean soup for dinner.
I took this photo on my walk down to Sainsbury's in Lee; this is a picture framing shop, and they've obviously been preparing some of the frames out on the pavement....

The jarrah was the last of a batch of timber salvaged from a demolition.
Blue Gum was plantation grown and left over from a previous commission.

Expired Konica film, developed in Tetenal C41 chemistry. Parts of the film got stuck together while being developed, so areas that did not come into contact with the chemicals appear white.
I have no pictures of the boys on our walls, 50c frames from the opshop + black paint = super snazzy new frames.
The boys woke up from their naps about half way through and were very insistent about helping out.
I used some of the leftover magnetic paper from my last project to whip up these refrigerator picture frames. Each one has hearts incorporated in the doodles.
