The thing about digital photographs is that that's how they often remain. Except for the one time of the year we actually make an effort to make prints. And then there's the scramble to find appropriate frames. And locate blank wall spots on which to display them. We make do.

Now this is my bread & butter. Red brings out green, red blanket thrown over couch, every damn light I can find pointing at the glasses from every angle. Pushed the camera into the couch so it's shooting below surface level, focused on the hinge. Added saturation after the fact but not a lot, this is very similar to how it came off the camera card. Really like this photo.
"Make a photograph of something very green. Don't settle for vaguely green. Go for saturation."
A shop in West Didsbury selling arty-farty stuff which is a bit poncey for my liking sorry to say.....at least the typeface (Microgramma) would be saved from the Orwellian treatment! :-P
This antique shop has to be seen to be believed. It has a fascinating assortment of antiques of all kinds. It's the real McCoy.

London was alive with class operators in the 70's and 80's . some still there but we have lost a lot . Gaurds .Frames. Galleon. Glenton,Bests. Arrowline. Iselworths. Ralphs. Grey Green. Sampsons. Len Wright. and many more . It is the same all over the country .
The lovely (and generous) George sent me a pack of "used" Polaroid film.
We found an ideal framing solution in Ikea, of all places. These frames hang in a set of five, and are double-sided, so we get to rotate them and enjoy all 10 beautiful photos.

A quick Halloween Idea! Last week at King of Prussia Mall, I saw a shadow box w/faux bugs in it as decor. $125 to $150 each. I made my version using a recycled frame, sheet of scrapbook paper and rubber/plastic critters, dab of hot glue. My price $2.25. Done in Orly Avineri's art journaling class this weeks topic frames of perspective. We did an interesting crackle technique I will definatly be expanding upon.
Our local flickr group competition for this month has the title "Frames". This shot was taken in the window of a framing shop in town where there was a multi-section mirror as well as various frames and accessories...
Not sure of the proper name for the coloured frames that appear on this reel. The reel and little cube of pictures came from a toy camera that I think M had as a child. it broke but I couldn't through the little reel of circus pictures away. Today I realised why not! They were destined for Flickr- where else!Each picture is 0.6cm wide.
