Wow!! We have completed our fifth week of camp. Even though it was extremely hot, the campers had plenty of water breaks and extended swim periods. This week’s theme was “Everything Yellow.” On Wednesday to celebrate our theme, and the Big Camps theme of “The Sun Always Shines at Willow Grove, many of the children wore yellow to camp. The best part of this week was when The Willows performed for the Big Camp the “Pledge of

Allegiance” and sang a very special song created by Emily from Puppet Theater. The new Willows Song is sung to the tune of “I’m a Little Teapot.”

In Camper Creations, the children made Minion picture frames that

featured the children enjoying Waterworld or swimming. In Ceramics, the

Willows painted their clay flip flops the colors of the sun: yellow, orange and

red. All your children’s creations will be coming home in the next couple of

weeks.

The frames are waiting to receive a starter middle wall made from last year's own collected clean wax. Not the finest carpenter work, but frames always have a distinct beauty to them.

These wooden yacht frames were recovered from the Fairlie Yard before its demolition in the 1980s. Each frame would have supported the structure of the yacht’s hull whilst it was being formed. The hull would be built from the keel up and once complete the frames would be removed.

i painted ikea frames for my friends. Little new year gifts) I used acrylic, pencils, markers...

My sport frames have curves, rubber padding, and plastics, to make them so comfortable and durable that I can sleep in them. It seems like throughout history, the most comfortable glasses can always be found in the sports and safety industry.

One of the final outcomes from my first project of the Illustration course I am now studying.

(1) I was very much against it

(2) I didn't know how to do it

But I've started to appreciate nicely framed photos on flickr, and I finally found out a very simple way to do it. Expect experimentation with this technique.

The photo is from the archives; one of my first with the (then) new Canon EOS 30D that I did in raw.

Here is what I did:

1) Open picture

2) make the background into a layer

3) make a new layer and put it below the photo layer

4) resize the canvas; use the relative sizing option to uniformly add 50, 100, 150, pixels around the photo. Now the underlying layer sticks out around the photo.

5) paint the lower layer with the color you want for your border (using paintbucket)

This can be repeated to have multiple borders. For example, in this photo, I first created a 50px white border and then a 20px black border

We have grand plans of swapping photos out regularly, asking you guys to send us pics, etc. The two biggest frames' pics will be sent out to be printed at their full size, but for now we've got photos in the mats.

52 Autumn Frames.

Sometimes I also make strange experiemets - or I have an idea. I shot 2 rolls of Kodak Gold 200 a few weeks back, when there was real nice fall color in the forest. But basically I was pretty inspiration-free, so I just shot right into the trees.

Although the pictures were boring, the color was so nice! So I made a overlay of 52 Frames to get just that: The color. Interestingly, if you know it, you can still sense the foilage on the ground and the pattern of the trunks, as well es lighter parts, when the sky shines through the canopy. So instead of only color there is still some pattern left. The essence, perhaps.

Whilst I am a fan of Mercian bikes, I have to admit that there are many excellent bespoke frame manufacturers in the UK. One of these is Brian Rourke in Burslem, Stoke on Trent and close to where I lived in my pre-teenage years. This bike frame was hand built for Andrew, who then stripped one of his existing bikes to build his own perfect dream machine.

Stapled some easy frames for some rough prints.

Traditional picture frames complement a traditional home decor and add warmth through pictures. A traditional picture frame is gold leaf or silver leaf wood picture frame and chosen wisely, will display what's important to you in your home decor!

i bought these thinking they would fit the many prints i have waiting to be framed......they are too small :(

But not fear! I'll just make some of my own artworks to FIT! :)
