I had a lightbulb moment when i read DeeRoo G 's comment about using low volume solids in the Angled Frames discussion thread. I knew immediately what I wanted to try for: solids. My stack of aqua/teal/blues were perfect. When I went back to read the tutorial again I laughed as I realized those were the colors she used as well!

Out of Frames
Cosa fa una cornice? Richiama l’attenzione, valorizza, mette in risalto. Sono tutti aspetti positivi, che fanno parte della nostra esperienza di persone queer o vicine alla sensibilità queer. Le cornici ci aiutano ad affermare, in modo giocoso, “guardami!”, “sono qui”, “ci sono anche io”, “io valgo!”.
Sono le stesse istanze, giocose e terapeutiche, che portano ogni anno uomini, donne e persone non binarie, di tutti gli orientamenti, a ballare insieme il tango, a mescolarsi, a toccarsi, a conoscersi e verificarsi con il corpo a suon di musica. Il tango queer aiuta le persone ad essere nel qui ed ora, mandando in frantumi taboo personali e frontiere di genere ed orientamento, aiutando le persone ad essere felici davvero.
Quindi le nostre cornici sono staccate dai muri. Sono i soggetti che le scelgono, che le reggono, che ne sovvertono il significato, che decidono di raccontare nuove storie, nuovi legami. Le persone escono dalle cornici, dai propri stereotipi, e incontrano altrə.
In un mondo di comunicazione falsata e distorta, gli scatti di Out of Frames sono dannatamente reali. Imperfetti, pieni di “errori” tecnici. Sono scatti che rompono la quarta parete, rivelando lo stativo e la scenografia. Fuori dalla Cornice!
Uno degli effetti di questo set fotografico è stato il divertimento di coloro che hanno partecipato. Quelle risate, quegli incontri, quello scoprirsi reciprocamente sono stati molto terapeutici. In questo momento buio della storia in cui diritti e democrazia si stanno sistematicamente smantellando, la nostra comunità queer e di alleatə ha bisogno di esser furba, di far memoria di se. La paura si sconfigge insieme, con la lotta e con l’ironia!

My sport frames have curves, rubber padding, and plastics, to make them so comfortable and durable that I can sleep in them. It seems like throughout history, the most comfortable glasses can always be found in the sports and safety industry.

Spot the architect in the road. Had i not been in said road I might have thought to duck a little lower and try for a better angle on those brilliant reflections of the lettering carrying on almost endlessly into the interior.

Scavenger Challenge – October 2018 Assignment – Triangles
Our subject this month is "triangles." This could be a single naturally-occurring object like a piece of broken shell, or it could be something man-made like a traffic cone. It could also be something more subtle, like a beach scene in which three people form a "visual triangle" because they are standing at the points. In this case, the "triangle" should be immediately obvious to anyone looking at the photo. In other words, the three people occur as the elements of photographic (artistic) composition. The remainder of the photo should be relatively uncluttered. You want the viewer's eye to be caught by the three points.
this construction project has been here for whole eternity. i grew up looking at it throughout my childhood, and even if I am not a kid anymore, it's still unfinished.

The river Spaarne flows still across Haarlem as it did many years ago, although it has been altered by men since the 13th century, as a dam with locks was constructed at its mouth in the IJ Bay. The invasion of Nazi Germany in USSR in 1941 that marked the Beginning of World War II for the USSR was disastrous for Soviet Russia and as in World War I for the Imperial Russia, western technical assistance was needed once again. Thus fate gave another chance to the time-tested design of the E-class locomotive, which was ordered by Tsarist Russia during the First World War in America and were built on three American locomotive plants, ALCO, Baldwin and Canadian Locomotive Company under common terms of reference to have 2-10-0 class locomotive. Totally 881 locomotives named El (Ел) were sell to Imperial and Soviet Russia. They worked mostly in Siberian region and on the Far East of Russia.

In April 1943, a plan to purchase steam locomotives and rails from the United States for 1943-44 was approved. It was planned to receive 1000 steam locomotives in 1943 and 2000 in 1944. On the base of El-type was developed more powerfull Ea (Еа Е-american) type locomotive. Various improvements have been made to the base model to increase power and make it more efficient. In early 1944, Alco and Baldwin began production. The very first Baldwin-built steam locomotive Ea-2201 arrived in the port of Murmansk as part of one of the polar convoys (probably JW-58), and in May it was delivered for testing to the Central Research Institute's ring road near Moscow, where it remained until 1955, after which it was transferred to the Far Eastern Railroad, where it operated until 1968. The locomotives were delivered in disassembled form on ships as part of polar convoys to the ports of Murmansk and Severodvinsk, as well as through the Far East and then through the liberated Odessa in the Black Sea. Not all reached their destination. Recently, one steam locomotive was raised from the sunken American ship Thomas Donaldson torpedoed by a German submarine at the entrance to the Kola Bay. Slightly more than 2000 steam locomotives were delivered in 1944-47, purchased under the Lend-Lease program and trade agreements. Due to the outbreak of the Cold War, some of the order remained in the US and their fate is unknown. Perhaps some were given to Chiang Kai-shek in China (type ST-1). 20 locomotives were delivered to Finnish Railways where they were designated Tr2 (VR Tavarajunaveturi raskas - Tr2 informally named «Truman»).
