A few months ago I stumbled across a gallery on Queen West in Toronto that was shutting it's doors. Turns out they had sixty of these gorgeous frames looking for a home - all 11x14 in black wood frames. Needless to say, I'm now planning a massive photo wall in my place with some of my favourite prints. I still have a few empties, so feel free to make suggestions on which photos to include, but I love how they look so far.

For those of us on Flickr, having our photos exist in a digital state has it's perks. But nothing compares to the art of developing, matting, and framing something you created - especially for the space that you live and/or work in. Highly recommended project.

Tuesday morning the police evicted the protesters and cleaned the park. Tensions ran high that morning - scenes from an empty Zuccotti around 9:15 a.m.; the regrouping of the protesters at a lot on Canal & 6th Street around 10:15 a.m.; and then their return to Zuccotti to confront the police around 11:00 a.m.

Panagabel or loom weaving is one the oldest industries that Ilocanos have acquired from their ancestors.

Until now it is still very much practiced in the Ilocos Region, Cagayan, Isabela and Cordillera.

With the use of wooden tilars, bamboo sticks and native threads/yarns Ilocanos patiently weaves. It requires high eye and hand dexterity to finish a good classic design of Abel. It takes a week to complete a full bed cover.

Abel cloth is one of most products that tourists buy for their souvenirs as blankets, bed linens, camisa-chino, hand towels, place mats, table napkins, runners and now the use of Abel has evolved these includes bags, bath towels and robes, coin purse, mobile phone case and even glamour fashion clothing.

Yes, more frames. On the left are standard Sportsman 200 frames. On the right are a few upgraded frames designed around the 21" motorcycle tires I plan to run.
