The chassis of this machine is a copy of the RD56 (1964) rolling chassis. The engine is from a FZR250RR fourstroke road bike (1990). A Yamaha official proposed the Yamaha Classic Racing Team to use the name RD56F (F= fourstroke and Ferry).

Couldn’t read the off. on and reserve position so I took a pic and enlarged it .....up here for thinking! Not bad considering I’ve had the bike for 4 years!!!!! 😂
Excellent castings from the late Les Chenery, but I never liked the thing, I became fed up with it and couldn't be bothered to finish it.
Started in 1990 this was to be my 10th engine and is numbered 9010.
If anyone would like to finish this engine, just make me an offer that I can't refuse.
On my first trip to Bangalore after purchasing my M9-P, I came across this pimped-out Auto Rikshaw (or Tuk Tuk as it known in many other parts of Asia). I loved the effort the owner had put into his ride, and this vehicle throbbed with electric energy, waiting for the next fare.
