DOF stacking, Sony A99II, Sigma 105mm macro

Not sure what these small fungi are - trying to research. The larger one was less than 1 cm in diameter. Stack of 8 images. Happy Fungi Friday!

 

The closest description I can find is that these may be the orange form of Ruby Elfcups. (Sarcoscypha coccinea var. aurantiaca).

 

After further review - these may be Sowerbyella rhenana fungi.

I stacked this image in order to isolate the mushrooms and get a nice bokeh with a narrow depth of field.

Studio work with a staged specimen. Focus stack of 113 images; assembled in Zerene Stacker (Dmap & Pmax). Sony A7Rm5 (cropped), FE 2.8/90 Macro G OSS; ISO-100, f/6.3, 1/6 sec, -0.7 step, diffused daylight.

Duo of Common asparagus beetle (6,5 mm long, Crioceris asparagi; Chrysomelidae), with three brownish eggs. Found in masses on Asparagus plants near Oude sluis (Bornem, Belgium, 1 july 2025).
