My squirrel friend came to see me. Too bad I had my 50-200mm lens on so I couldn't get any good close ups of him on my shoes. I was lucky to even get this shot.

My upstairs neighbour's cat had kittens when they weren't home and the mother killed all but one. This is Fluff, the only surviving kitten a few days after he was born.

A cluster of mature thistle heads releases delicate, feathery seeds into the breeze. These white, wispy plumes catch the light as they prepare to drift away from the parent plant. The surrounding greenery provides a lush backdrop for this natural cycle of dispersal.
Meerkats are fascinating to watch. I love the way they seem to be completely oblivious to people watching them and just carry on with their normal sentry duties. I spent several hours at Drusillas today and it was blissfully quiet there.
'Spotted' whilst out walking Jake (Border Collie) Trying to keep him under control with one hand, and 'work' the camera with the other - wish I could multitask.
We are having a lovely snow here with big flakes and fairly warm temperatures. Mrs. Cardinal is patiently waiting for me to come out and fill the feeder.
