Fluff's hair needs a little more work--
I'm in the process or sorting and reorganizing my collection before I downsize. Decided to take some snapshots today of the dolls I have on display. Sorry that some of them are naked - I am in the middle of swapping the outfits of several of the dolls.
This male Gambel's quail paused for a moment in his grooming in the afternoon about 40 feet away
from the kitchen window through which I took this shot with the 600mm lens
on the Panasonic FZ200. The females are sitting on eggs now, while the
males stay close by & watch for danger.

My squirrel friend came to see me. Too bad I had my 50-200mm lens on so I couldn't get any good close ups of him on my shoes. I was lucky to even get this shot.
My upstairs neighbour's cat had kittens when they weren't home and the mother killed all but one. This is Fluff, the only surviving kitten a few days after he was born.

A cluster of mature thistle heads releases delicate, feathery seeds into the breeze. These white, wispy plumes catch the light as they prepare to drift away from the parent plant. The surrounding greenery provides a lush backdrop for this natural cycle of dispersal.

We are having a lovely snow here with big flakes and fairly warm temperatures. Mrs. Cardinal is patiently waiting for me to come out and fill the feeder.
