Slightly confusing view of the building with the interesting external twisted blinds, with a reflection of the same building behind. A coat stand adds to the mystery.
Penultimate location before walking to the Walkie-Talkie building a couple of streets back from this one at Monument.

Nicholas J Melas Centennial Fountain is located on the north bank of the Chicago River at McClurg Court in Near North Side, Chicago. It was dedicated in 1989, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, perhaps best known for its major achievement in reversing the flow of the Chicago River in 1900; and in 1999, this system was named a "Civil Engineering Monument of the Millennium" by the American Society of Civil Engineers .
The fountain is designed by Lohan Associates, architects. Every hour, on the hour, the fountain shoots a massive water arc across the river from a modernist tiered waterfall for 10 minutes.
The fountain was named after Nicholas J. Melas who was elected in 1962 to the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago. Melas was re-elected 5 times, serving for 30 years; the last 18 as President of the Board.
We had a great time. These are some of the greatest people you could ever meet. Within minutes of meeting it was like we were old friends.
Met up with Jodi and Lou at the New York Botanical Gardens today for the Kiku exhibit. What fun! This Lotus pool was a good opportunity for me to attempt an Anti-Social Butterfly reflection homage.
The points of light on the sun are animated so that it looks like it's glittering. Definitely the coolest sign around.
This was my starting image having arrived late to the meeting point in Canary Wharf, for the Flickr London meet-up organised with precision exceeding military standards by Andy Rouse. Unlike Great Western Railway who cancelled the 07:28 train from Langley to Ealing Broadway that Gary and I were intending to get. We had to get a taxi to Slough and get a fast train direct to Paddington.
Mono seems the way with this amazing flooring in one of the Canary Wharf buildings. Thanks to the kind security man who allowed us to take some shots {without those deadly tripods I might add !!}.
Image all processed in LightRoom, Nikon D750, f/7.1, focal length 14mm, shutter 1/60 at ISO 400.
Quotes By Rose F. Kennedy
Story Behind This Picture: This picture is a mark for me entering the 1001 picture on my Flickr stream. When i start to use Flickr 3 years back I only wanted to upload 1 picture a day using my hand phone camera and that’s all no captions or nothing else but then as time pass by I have developed a great interest on learning photography with the people that I met from Flickr.
But then that doesn’t stop me because since small I’m very fond to colors and with Photoshop I have learned how I could satisfy my coloring addict. There was a short period of time I would say in my middle age of Flickr where I have become an addict on the number of comments and number of view, hits, favorites that I would get on my photographs the more I get the more happier I came but later I realized that isn’t what art is all about.
Since the day I have woke up out from the "Flickr Fame Craziness" I have started to set my own boundary and rules before uploading a picture which is
1) What photo should I upload today
2) What would be the best caption that can suit the photo
3) Message of the day
4) Connection of title with the picture and the colors used
5) My taste of colors
6) Every picture should carry meaningful tags and useful
7) Pictures properly organized
8) Picture are thrown into group only for its relevant and sharing and not in the manner of getting the more comments or hits
I’ am still learning and moving very slow these days as my rules of my Flickr picture are growing. I'm not sure where this will lead too.....
JourneyToNoWhere.....
Another one from the lovely Laura from our meetup 10 days ago. The location was a building that Bassam knew and it was so cool to shoot in there - the floor was absolutely beautiful as you can see! Thank you to Laura for spinning for me for ages until I had the perfect shot :)

Centre stage with tripods laid out unable to be used a few of the Flickr London Meet-up team and just so I am politically correct I need to apologise for the name as Emma is the exception.
The location is the Walkie-Talkie building aka 20 Fenchurch Street which was our final location for images before departing back to our homes after an excellent day out.
Here in the style of Mark is a little tune to match.
{ God this shows my age...}
Tim and I and our wives met Patty (Mazshaxlong), her daughter and her daughters friend from flickr PCA and spent the entire day in Boston with her.
We had a great time.
More on these duckling statues My wife told me my neighbors mother was the sculptor- Nancy Schon. I have to confirm that.

Moon has been creative for a while so brought negatives she had from before the digital photographic era since Stian eventually would show up with a film scanner at our Sunday flickrer meeting. Here deciding which of past masterworks is going to be scanned.

I had the chance to meet up with a long time flickr friend, and amazing photographer, Rasekh aka Wherever I Roam here in Victoria this week. If you like my work, then you'll definitely enjoy his. He has a great collection of photos from all over the world. Check him out.
The above shot was done with exposure fusion in Photomatix. I've never had much success with this method, but this time it finally worked.

Have a safe trip for those who will traveling back home for the weekend and have a great Friday for those on the other side of the globe!
Yep, impromptu photoshoot on the corner of 12th and Sansom. If we're not shooting someone else, we're shooting each other.

There is a short period immediately after sunset, lasting perhaps only 10 to 20 minutes, that the sky dims, discernibly but not completely. Not yet at least. Sometimes, the heavens will turn violet. Rarely, pink. That night it was just blue.

Taken during a Flickr meetup in Tempe, Arizona. This is a young aspiring model named Juliette, who appeared at the meetup and was a delight to work with. I took about 60 pictures of her, of which I liked some better than this one when I saw them on my camera's LCD screen; however, this became my instant favorite of the bunch when I saw it on my computer. Tomorrow I will send Juliette a link to this portrait, and I hope she loves it as much as I do.
