Very flexible! An original steel "Slinky" toy.

The short lived experiment that was TFW's Class 769 is illustrated here as 769008 crosses Newport Road after leaving Queen Street station back in March.

Vintage lens Olympus OM 135mm f3.5 on extension tubes and Canon 500D cul.

Super lightweight and doesn't kink. It expands when it fills with water. I love it!

This guy seemed curious about us, but not particularly alarmed.

The bird is starting to hang its nest from a stalk which seems too flexible to me. Will it hold? Time will tell.

L'oiseau commence à suspendre son nid sur une tige qui me parait trop flexible. A suivre.

A spring from a toy fitted to a child's bracelet. I've used silver and gold card reflectors with window light.

It amazes me to see the dexterity exhibited by some birds in flight. Kites, like this Swallow-tailed Kite, seem to be particularly skilled.

Tern's turning are difficult to capture. It really is a matter of luck as it happens so quickly. Once they have dived for a fish, they shake the water off. It takes about 3 seconds before the shake.

Notice how his head is turned 180° and his tail is turned 90°.

This shot is special to me because the Tern is faced toward me and the background is vegetation and the beach, not just sky or water. Today was a good day for photographing birds.

"Take my picture,” she said. “I’m going to do something.”

And this - quite unexpectedly - is what she did.
