Crazy Tuesday theme: Flexibles Thank you for your kind comments and favs. All are greatly appreciated. HCT
I took this shot way back in 1996, in the village of Arpino (FR), the birthplace of Cicero. I used a special film for me the Kodak 160 GPX professional that no longer exists, using a Pentax K 1000, the usual tripod and flexible shutter. It was late autumn and I waited for the light of the sunset. This perspective shows the ancient village of the town where there is a pointed arch dating back to 3,000 BC. of Ernica construction, an ancient local and pre-Roman people. This shot reached the final of the Vittorio Bachelet prize going on display in the room that hosted the award ceremony and for me it was a great satisfaction because it was my first participation in this national photographic competition. Thank you all for any comments.
I was dealing with bad light here on another dark day, but loving the flexibility of this hooded merganser as she preened. Siskiyou County, California
HMM…..Lots of variations of this— It is the one that hasn’t “lost” the links and clasp and is just about 2 inches across. There are/will be other possibilities for MM but I like this for its simplicity and the red heart ❤️ .

The berries on this tree were harder to remove from the stem than the fruit on other trees. Contorting like this and then straightening up, while holding on to the berry, provides a bit of extra torque to twist the fruit off.
The Anhinga is also known as the snakebird -- perhaps because of this super flexible neck! #bird #birding #nature #funny
“If you can’t be flexible in life, you become irritable with life.” - Rubyanne. Happy Tree- mendous Tuesday!
Shown here twisted, but this cord easily pops back to a circle and can be worn around the wrist, or add a clip to attach it inside a purse, backpack, and other secure places.

Thank you for taking the time to view my photo, and for the faves and comments you make, thank you!
Stretching is critical to many with injuries, and to athletes who want to avoid injuries. This is a small part of a flexible exercise band being stretched against the blue of another band. HMM!
Lies are like balloons - once you cross the flexibilities, it will bust! Let's not our truth hide behind the #flexibles of lies!
Sometimes that’s what I feel.
A wall. solid. No flexibility.
And me? Staring at it or pushing hard
with no response. Well
it’s a wall.
or maybe I'm the wall? That
ain't flexible? Not changing?
The say is "you need two
To Tango". So if I'm facing
A wall then some is facing me – as a wall.
When I will start accepting it’s a wall
All will be possible.
Macro Mondays
Theme: Flexible
Date: June 20, 2022
Note: My first, more colorful, submission was deleted from the Macro Mondays group per rule # 6. I am not sure this is the exact photo from which my submission was done but it was same time, place, with same straws and cropped appropriately. The first one was not layered, not a composite image, and not one using HDR or Multiple Exposure. Exposure settings might have given the impression it was layered, etc. Hopefully, this will meet the guidelines for today's theme. I used the Painting In-camera setting on my Nikon D5600 for my first entry.. Plastic Flexible Straws.

One of the most beautiful birds in the world.....& there are over 150 different species of owls
Owls can rotate their heads three-quarters of the way around. They cannot move their eyes from side to side but have extremely flexible necks and can move their heads rather quickly - thus the illusion of a complete turn.
Owls see perfectly well during the day, and exceptionally well at night.
Owls have the best hearing of all birds. Their ears are located on the sides of their heads and are hidden by feathers. The so-called “ear-tufts” on the top of the head aid in camouflage and recognition between individuals and have nothing to do with hearing.
If you hear an owl calling, consider yourself fortunate…. even more fortunate to observe one in the wild.
Owls are predators - they catch, kill and eat other animals in order to survive. This predation is neither cruel nor wasteful and has been going on for millions of years. It seldom upsets anything except perhaps a few people. An owl killing and eating another animal is no different from a robin eating a worm or a gull eating a fish.
