I found an ancient copy of Practical Photography magazine - remember it? It's not published any more unfortunately. A feature on still life ideas caught my eye, so I've spent a couple of weeks searching for a suitable pencil sharpener. Not easy in lockdown but a neighbour found one. So after an evening of fiddling and adjusting minute details, hey presto, a zip. #37 Flat lay for the group challenge 121 pictures in 2021

This was a fun one. I decided to incorporate the love of travel with photography. Mostly I shoot digital, but I included the camera I purchased in 1980 when I was in high school. I also included my passport, a map and travel book of Ireland and photos I took while I was there.

Props include hand warmers knitted by me, bias binding from a vintage craft shop in Melbourne and a cup and saucer from Victoria, Vancouver Island. I do love things that bring back wonderful memories of my travels.

I listened to a podcast on Instgram by Deanne Love this morning and then got carried away with a photo challenge set by Deanne.

I'm going to love this week! Flat lays are one of my favorite things to do! I'm not sure how modern this is, but I think having to remind people to be kind is a modern thing. I don't remember having to be told this when I was growing up, we just tried our best to be.
Another wet, cold and dreary day. It might not feel like it's Spring so I had to get a little creative to make it feel like it is. ☀️🌷
Day 100 of this 365 already?! :)
Thanks for your visit! I hope you had a wonderful day!

I find miniature anything adorable and these little books I'm using for a project for my librarian pen pal are especially cute!
Hello friends! Hope you are all passing marvelous time! I hope you all like this shot of time. It was shot during dusk and I tried to add much cold to it as possible!
Maple seeds in Montreal. I initially processed this using the Agfa Scala 200 preset from VSCO, which is a B+W preset. But I switched it back to colour after doing some edits, and decided I liked the colour version better.

Same scarf as I used the other day...a charity shop find that I just knew would be handy. The lavender I picked last summer at our local lavender farm. I made the wreath but changed the ribbon on it for this shot.
