Lighting: Two Nikon SB-5000s at top left and top right bounced off an overhead white card. Both strobes triggered via CLS from on-camera Nikon SB-700 fired vertically against same white card for diffused bounce. All strobes set to TTL and white balanced to 5300K.

Saturday Self Challenge: Knolling (flat lay)

52 in 2024: Looking down

All of the wildflowers above were found just around our campsite in one of the more remote areas National Parks of Australia. Spring has bought out vast displays of such beauties, spreading along the roadsides and over the plains. In this case they are arranged on the red earth, typical of many inland areas,

Knolling however is not really my strength as I lack the patience to get things straight,, and in this case I was assisted by swarms of flies on my legs, arms and around my face! We wore head-nets to keep the worst of them out of our eyes - not glamorous but it does help.

Anyway, enjoy the flowers and I plan on posting some additional wild-flower photos over the next week.

207/365: I went lavender picking the other day, at our local lavender farm. I can't think why when I have plenty in the garden but it's a nice thing to do.

I bought some fresh tulips today while I was at the store getting a couple of things for tonight's supper. It is hard to choose which colour to buy and if I was rich I'd buy them all! Haha! I decided on these red tulips as I usually don't see this colour variety. I also thought they would go well with the hearts since Valentine's Day is around the corner. ❤️

I have received SO many bouquets since Dad passed that I'm running out of places to put them, but I have cherished each and every one as they've arrived. Each bouquet has a variety of different flowers.
