#120 - Wrap It Up
Take Aim - Rule of Thirds
Thank you in advance for your views, comments, and faves. They are much appreciated!
I so wish I had used different colored letters but I used what I had available. I have had this concept floating around in my head for quite some time now and luckily for me, much of the pasta in this shot was on sale at the store last night. I could spend hours cleaning up the white specks that the pasta leaves on the surface but really it's not worth it because I'm not in love with the letters. Imagine what your pastabilities are and bring them to reality today!
Crazy Tuesday theme - Knolling
I had never heard of the term knolling before so this was quite a challenge for me. I went with purple & pink tones for it from my sewing accessories.
Also it's photo 6/30 for my April project

I made my grandson some breakfast pastries. He absolutely loved them so I thought they deserved to appear in a photo. I was so busy checking that the book and the lines on the table were straight that I hadn't noticed that I'd knocked the fork slightly and got the end out of the frame...until after I'd cleared everything away. I didn't have time to set it all up again. Anyway, I figured the pastries and my lovely new mug and plate were the stars of the show so no one will notice ;)
Very, very lemony

I emptied my jewelry box of props for macros and started organizing my knolling composition. I was lucky to have a few items with similar colors. About 100 photos in I was happy with this one.
Fried scallops served inside a New England split top bun that has been griddled, fries, and coleslaw with pineapple.
The 11/30/20 Macro Mondays theme is Bathroom.
Years ago I attempted shaving with this straight razor, but very quickly went back to a modern safety razor loaded with Gillette blue blades (stainless steel blades didn't enter the scene until the 1960s).
This image measures 2½ inches across.
This is the third Christmas in a row that I’m spending apart from my family, but I am still in love with the preparations. 😊🌲
Another icy treasure, a gift from the month of February. It occurred to me, as I hovered over the ground, that this is nature’s version of a “flatlay”.
In her hurry to leave the ballroom on the stroke of midnight, Cinderella lost her glass slipper.
This Blythe doll is Home Sweet Home, wearing Juno Estella’s stock dress for the theme “Evening Gown” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. The background is a chalkboard that I purchased especially for this sort of flat lay photo.

Regalos.
Me gusta preparar los regalos con tiempo... Este año voy muy retrasada, apenas tengo la mitad.
Flower fairies are uniquely beautiful creatures. This one is a daffodil fairy; she radiates positivity with her sunny yellow aura.
This Blythe doll is Prima Dolly Marigold. I don’t have any marigolds to use as props, so she had to pose as a daffodil fairy! The background is a jigsaw puzzle I recently completed. I love the bright colors; it was really fun to do.
The first of a series of flatlay still lifes of multi coloured paperclips shot on a light pad. One of my many lockdown photography projects.

This is the first time I've used my Lensbaby Sol 45 for a flat lay, more often than not I use the V56 but decided to be a bit adventurous. This won't be everybody's cup of tea but I love the blur so I may well be using the Sol again.
