We have flashlights! Yep, that's right, we've gone throught earthquakes, blackouts, etc. without decent flashlights (just a pocket one and mobiles).
Small flashlight used to shine light on the egg and brought out its natural markings and texture. Back to cloudy white balance setting.
Sept 26, 2008 @ 11:30pm - Hope all is ok - they checked out Lun with the flashlight briefly. She then continued nursing her widdle prince. Seems all is well.

Another original design-as-you-go type ship that didn't use any reference material.
I started with a central parallel solid core and added coupled layered details section by section. Modular wings and nose sections completed the distinctive shape.
