We were messing around painting with light and decided to shoot some slower shutter speeds with a small flashlight sitting on a candlestick close to subject height. Shot with a Canon EF 24-70L. The flashlight was about 6 feet away. Did a little Photoshop work to get rid of the graininess from high ISO settings in the dark.

And real cheap crappy ones too. This is the same kind we used to use at work and they don't last long and seem to break real easy. I tested them all and they weren't very bright so I took two with me cause I didn't know how far back it was and it's best to have a spare. And to be fair I wouldn't put good expensive flashlights out here either. But if you come her and have a good one of your own I recommend you bring it with you for this cave. The big cave is lighted inside but this one isn't.

Long exposure. Used a flashlight to light up the sides of the grill. I was trying to have the front be just as dark as the background, but have the light make a sort of halo. Not exactly as I planned, but still neat.

I love lowlight pictures! This is Ape Cave. The foreground is illuminated with the flashlights of my group, Blue = LED, yellow = filament. In the back ground was another group coming at us with several types of light. I enjoyed how each source created different colors.
