Rainy Sunday and finally a day off after a crazy week!
I actually got a lot of dolly organization time last night! My nine year old son participated in a Lip Sync show for his school with 3 other friends. They had a blast and we let him have a sleepover last night with the 3 boys. Not a lot of sleeping took place, the night was filled with giggles, flashlight tag, trying to catch the attention of girls next door, too much sugar and staying up all night. My favorite line in the am was, "we had so much fun we forgot to play video games".
I sat quietly in my office organizing doll clothes and laughing at their conversations all night. It is great to know that life does slow down for kids every once in awhile in this over scheduled and over committed lives that seem to be stealing kids childhoods.
BoGo, a solar-powered flashlight with game-changing technology. A single charge gives six hours of light each night; the rechargeable solar cell lasts for two years.
Clayton's favorite -- more play with lighting.
Tools: Internet for background, Photoshop elements for editing and flashlight effect.

"Dance on the Outside" because that used to be the name of my photography myspace(that i no longer use).
I couldn't find any single AAA battery holders (2AAAs @ 6V being the replacement for the 9V), so I'm going to cut down these, cut the wires to the adjacent tabs, solder my wires to what remains, and call it good enough.
There's two because I want to keep the center divider to help hold the battery in place, so I'm only removing like 45% of each double holder. A tad wasteful, but these are around $0.75 each.

Using longer camera exposures lets me move my X-ray source vacuum tube further away from the phosphor screen, thus giving me some slightly sharper images which is useful for thicker items.
I didn't get to the batteries (other distractions) but I did spend a couple hours wandering through various stores, including the hardware store, twice. In the course of which I considered and rejected, well, more options for that access/butt extension than I really care to recall or list.
This is what I eventually came up with. ABS instead of PVC, much harder and more durable, and not prone to eating itself when stressed. Apparently I was just on the wrong aisle the first time. (Also note my vernier calipers in the background - checking the size. They're just fun; I just groove on good tools in general :)
"Come back home"
This is dedicated to my cat who went missing last night and we found her outside but she was stuck on a drainage. We couldn't get her so we went home but we are sure she will be there still. When my mom got closer to her she went deeper becauss she hot trauma after some cats fought her. Hope she is safe and tomorrow we could bring her back.
