Here's where I cut through the bottom of the canister. I also took out a dome-shaped thermal isolator thingie, and hacked out some insulation. I'll have to figure out some way to replace that later; maybe some construction spray foam in a can?
What you're looking at there is the bottom of the inner flask. The plan is to cut through that, then glue in the reflector from the flashlight. It's going to be tight, but I should have enough room for a 9V in the base. If not, I'll have to see if I can figure out something with those flat button batteries.
The second level basement of the building was quite dark and cold as demonstrated by the vapor in Joe's breath, illuminated by his mothers corny flashlight.
... but when i was already gone to bed I remembered taking a photo. Just armed with a flashlight.
Had a nice phone call today.

Using my new Vello wireless remote control, I made a few long exposures of my kids playing with flashlights. This is both of them together.

Jess nixed Mike's plan to use a flashlight in his search for her garter. bahahaaa
Camille would catch the bouquet. Really the bouquet would bounce off of her and fall to the ground with no attempt on her part to actually catch it. Clearly she's not so interested in being the next to marry.
The effect in a dark room, showing both the mouth and the light on the wall.
I'm so happy & bouncy Very Happy It works, it all works, and all the pieces just all came together tonight, starting with fixing the switch, and everything worked the way it should, and wow! What a good feeling that is when you can do that. :)

So I was walking around Lowe's looking for lighting equipment and came across this wonderful LED flashlight by Stanley. For 25 bucks, you get an LED flashlight that allows you to pick 1, 3, or 6 LEDs to turn on, a swivel head, and built in tripod. The head isn't that powerful, but it does give the opportunity to put a spotlight on one part of the composition.

I lost track of this flashlight a few weeks ago. I finally found it in my laundry machine, so it apparently survived being washed and dried several times. Its black coating was rubbed off around the front and back in the process, but it seems no water got inside. The battery was not replaced for this photo.
