Here's a pic after I glued the reflector in place. As you can see, the reflector is a little deeper than I was thinking, it sticks out past the end thermos shell. I'll need to do something to cap the bottom there.
Using my new Vello wireless remote control, I made a few long exposures of my kids playing with flashlights. This is both of them at work.

A flashlight just like this was stolen from my car at the apartment parking lot in spring 2003. The thief broke the front passenger glass just to steal a flashlight.
We went to Target and the flashlight cupboard was bare.
Three or four weeks before Ike came through I bought two new flashlights and two new rechargeable nightlights. Not sure what prompted me to do that but I was very glad I had made those purchases and wasn't actually hoping to buy something in this aisle.

Had my flashlight ready last night, waiting for the storm......
I was bored, so I thought I'd take my picture - how bored can you get?! I look awful, but I loved the effect the flashlight gave!!

This past weekend Bonnsai hosted an ultimate tournament at the Insel Grafenwerth (Bad Honnef, German). There was a water park on the island, and Mario and I had night duty to watch the pool area from 23-2 am. Another team member, Matthias, had the previous shift and decided to stay around afterward. What a better way to spend the time then making some light paintings. Matthias comment at one point, that "this was more interesting than sleeping." Matthias and Mario helped in creating this photo, both in concept and execution. 3 hours went back quickly, and no one came swimming.

I took this picture of the dew covered grass early in the morning and used only a flashlight for the light source.
I get a lot of questions on my lighting. This is a sample of one of my favorite tools. That's right a flashlight.
