Never really done anything like this before -

White sheet as a backdrop, not too bad considering!

2 Nikon SB-800's triggered with Pocketwizards. One Honl Gel (Red/CTO) on each Speedlight. Bulb exposure. Water dropped from a straw. Popped the flashes at moment of impact. Pushed White Balance for stronger color temperature.

Standard flash bounced off the ceiling using a handheld pocket mirror. No retouching has been done.

Realized tonight I actually do have the capability of using a flash.

 

Not sure if I am going to do it any more though, voltage on the hotshoe may not be compliant with 40D, really don't want to fry it.

Strobist info: off camera 580ex, tethered with off-camera cord, mounted below a glass plate that is masked to allow a selected amount of light to come up through and around the radish.

The led flash on the nokia N90 is incredibly hard. Haven't checked if it is possible to adjust it. On the other hand, the lens is really light sensitive, so I suppose it would have turned out fine without it, even in a dark norwegian livingroom.
