I received a flash for my birthday. So I've been playing with it. In this photo, I bounced the flash back over my left-shoulder to lighten the shadows that obscured her face, as you can see in the no-flash shot.

Those last days I've been playing around with FLARToolkit, an AS3 class that analyzes a pattern through your webcam and then gives you some coordinates you can use in your favorite 3d engine for flash. Mine is Away3d.

This is the default pattern which comes with the class.

Thanks to Sqoosha for porting the original Java ARtoolkit to flash.

I am not really a doggy - or indeed a pet - person. I don't dislike them they just don't really move me at all. But I thought these 2 with their noses squashed under the gate were worth a photo! It was taken from their garden gate though so I wasn't really close, but it's not a bad shot :)

I rigged up a ghetto-stylee remote flash for the Holga, by taping an optical slave to the on-cam flash, then plugging it into a PW transmitter. $20 camera with $400 radio slaves, rock and roll baby
