Exploring the world's greatest bucket list destination with the dream makers at UnCruise adventures. www.uncruise.com
Isla Rábida’s unusual red beach is a favorite sunbathing spot for sea lions and marine iguanas. Go eye-to-eye with Blue-footed and Nazca Boobies, Yellow Warblers, several species of Darwin’s Finches, and pelicans. The warm maroon-colored beach also makes a great jumping in spot for from-the-beach snorkeling. Or keep your eyes above the waterline, inspecting marine life from the glass-bottom boat. You’ll have a birds-eye view from Isla Santa Cruz hiking Cerro Dragón—or, Dragon Hill—and enjoy a well-earned panorama of the western islands, the bay below you, and possibly even lounging land iguanas.
Flash Parker Freelance:
once the whitetail fawns lose their spots, they seem to grow up so fast! of course, they only have about 6 months up here to fatten up for the winter!
Testing my new mini slave flash (Morris mini Slave Flash Plus), to try and remove the shadow created by having just one flash.
This photo is the "before", only using the camera flash.

Some experimentation with my (then) new flash. Flash was set up behind and below the flowers. The background is a black shirt hand-held just far enough away to be effectively invisible.
Spent some time at Longwood Gardens fooling with Off Camera Flash. The idea here was to manually set the camera to UNDER EXPOSE the image causing the backgrounds to become darker. The off camera flash was optically triggered to throw some light onto the flower in the foreground. It took some experimenting to determine the best flash power setting. Going off camera with the flash also allowed positioning it to reduce shadows. The camera's built-in flash was set to a low power setting (-3) so it would not contribute much towards lighting the scene but was still enough to act as a trigger.

And no, he does not like that. But you can see him better. I'm also posting more of his spots, and body here too.
FLASH BACK
Il luogo del ricordo svanisce al primo istante del flash back,
superata la soglia della propria porta, quando mi accorgo
quanto è familiare il cambiare incessante del tutto.
Il luogo nel ricordo si manifesta,
e nell’evanescenza dell’io presente tutto torna
a me, ogni strada percorsa, ogni pietra lanciata,

Photowalk 37 of 52 - Killen's Pond - Manual / Flash and Umbrella
For this walk I wasn't exactly sure what to do. It was drizzling rain and on Sunday so I needed to do something. The rest of the week had been busy so this was the only time I had to do my photowalk. I decided to play with my flash and my new flash stand and umbrella. I took two of my kids to the park with me and we found a nice little place to take some shots without the rain interfering.
