We did some quick ring flash comparison between Profoto ring flash & Ray Flash ring flash adapter. Can't remember which was better :D At least the results looked quite the same from camera's LCD screen. Of course the AcuteB can deliver much more watt seconds than Ray. And this photo is not from the testing setup, just fooling around with flashes.
Bartender Ed Kirkpatrick of Lenox opens a bottle of wine at the Millenium Ball. 123199 (Photo by Ben Garver and Josh Reynolds). Oddly enough, this is one of the only pictures in my Flickr offering that has the use of flash.

Having fun! Single 580EX II in manual mode with grid 4 meters to the right. Shutter speed 1/20s, moved camera while shooting. Perhaps I should have changed the flash synching mode?

I used the diffuser on the flash gun, off camera to the left. It has brought out the detail in her eyes beautifully - normally she's very underexposed in the eye area, if not completely black. I really need to do a with and without experiment to see exactly the difference.
The history of the Lagotto is truly amazing. Brought back from near extinction, they are thought to be the most ancient and the possible ancestor of all the water dogs.

Brighton is a Day Trip away from mainland Europe. Many school parties from France, Holland and Germany come to gawp at the decaying 19th Century splendour of Brighton (all originally funded by slavery, industrial revolution and Empire) - as well as peering bemusedly at their English counterparts lying drunk and stoned in pools of their own vomit in the gutter.
On this occasion a group of clean limbed, fresh faced European Mainlanders get caught out by a spot of flash flooding - as a road turns into a river - caused by Brighton's unique micro climate.
