Los "Chinches escudo" tienen glándulas en su tórax entre el primer y segundo par de patas que producen un líquido de olor desagradable. Este líquido sirve como defensa para disuadir a depredadores potenciales y se lanza a veces cuando los insectos se manejan negligentemente. Su color también nos está diciendo que no nos acerquemos demasiado.
Shield bugs have glands in their thorax between the first and second pair of legs which produce a foul smelling liquid. This liquid is used defensively to deter potential predators and is sometimes released when the bugs are handled carelessly.

Strobist: 3 flashes. O 580 EX II com um Ray Flash funcionando como beauty dish à direita bem perto da modelo. Um 430 EX II com um Softbox III da Lumiquest à esqueda e meio atrás do modelo (que eu acho que estava mais longe, por isso a luz mais dura). Um 420 EX no chão, apontado para o fundo branco atrás dela.

For this weeks Never Professional group challenge 'Graffiti'.
I finally managed to get out and take some new pictures for a challenge!
I've taken pictures of graffiti before and so this time I wanted to do something different which led me to have a go with some off camera flash.
I wanted to add some urban grit style as well as bring out the textures. I'm really pleased with how these first attempts came out, shot without flash the scene looked nothing like this.
It's not the best example of artistic graffiti, unfortunately the bridge I was heading for had been painted over!

Para compor a imagem, usei o flash para a exposição primária do objeto e, em seguida, uma lanterna piscante de cor vermelha para contorná-lo. A ideia foi tentar simular um circulo de fogo ao redor do objeto.

For the Flickr Lounge Group's Saturday assignment "How Not To Take a Photo". An example of flash over exposure.
Quem resiste a ter um esmalte desse na caixinha e não fazer ele furar fila? Eu não... Sou fraca, assumo!
E nem estava Sol qdo eu passei. Pq o Flash Back não precisa de Sol não, minha gente! Ele brilha até embaixo da cama! Diria que na luz amarela o efeito é praticamente igual a luz solar. Mtoooo lindo!
Mas nem o Astro Rei resistiu a esse lindo... Passei ontem e hj, qdo ia fazer as fotos, saiu um Sol lindooooooo! Consequência: fiquei mais de meia hora em dúvida de qual foto postava... E essas fotos foram tiradas na minha janela, numa frestinha de luz que estava batendo ali.
Os Laylas são, com certeza absoluta, os esmaltes mais holográficos da minha coleção!
Precisa dizer que eu AMEI? Não vejo a hora de usar o prata Mercury Twilight!!! Mto amor esses Laylas!
