Canon 580EX II on camera right at 1/16 (Phottix flash remote contoler)

I'm still trying to figure out this whole flash thing. I was (of course) going to use some boots as a model, but the cat agreed to cooperate.

I bought a speedflash this weekend.

 

This is why a speedflash is useful over the built in flash that comes with your camera.

Flash and Chase came in for a health check and vaccination booster. Chase also had a lump that needed to be checked out.

Visuals created in Flash using a webcam and motion tracking. This meeting didn't sound like this, but it felt like this.

A picture for the arts page about local poet who writes poems about nature. 1 SB800 left of camera on the ground angled up set on TTL, triggered using Nikon SU800. I wanted to pick out the texture of the tree bark and add some interest to what could have been a boring portrait.

Standard flash bounced off the ceiling using a handheld pocket mirror. No retouching has been done.

This was taken by my trusty second shooter/husband. I love how the flash from the guest silhouettes the bride. Beautiful!
