Thanks to Ted's new softboxes, I've been able to play around with off-camera flash. I love trying to make him laugh while taking his photo.

el flash de relleno se utiliza cuando se esta a contra luz y se busca obtener la nitidez de el entorno y el modelo a la vez, en este caso estaba nublado por lo que no se aprecia de la mejor manera.

I used the sound trigger on this bouncing stress ball. The impact wave is much wider than when I hit the screwdriver on the vinyl-covered table.
This photo (taken without the flash) is of my third police cap. Nearly a month after I got my first cap, I ordered a second one from www.onestopcopshop.co.uk in the same size as my two helmets (at the time), a 61. When I got it however, it turned out to be a bit too big so I sent it back for a size 60.
When I got THAT cap, it still wasn't right because it looked a bit squared, like the old German helmets and, even though I wore it for a time, I eventually got rid of it on eBay.
Last June, I saw this for sale on eBay. The seller went on at 99p but my starting bid was a tenner and, despite there being another bidder, I ended up the highest bidder, the end price being five pence less than I paid for the first cap.
This cap (which is badged up as a Met cap), however, hasn't been worn in public as much but I'm still not happy with it, because it's a bit roomy for a size 60, to the point of nearly falling off but I'll stick with it for now.
Flash is 14 years old, blind and has had diabetes the past 2 years, but he still acts like a puppy and is full of life.

...Dodging traffic has never been so much fun. Well, so much fun while not being on a bike. Oh and my flash broke. Thought it was the end for the ebay guy but he just lost his batteries as a bus was coming. Not that big of a deal until the optical trigger stopped working. Fail. Made it work finally, put it right behind his head and boomed it hard, created this harsh halo that I think works pretty well, had my room mate holding the light stand with umbrella while ducking and weaving through traffic, serious props Lisa.
Anyway, another Swede shoot, Johan in the middle of the road just up from my white walled house, was kinda trying to show the lights from the beach front below and behind him, while sitting on the roundabout it’d give an urban gritty edge to his look, after chimping a few I just killed the ambient (a little) and went with my lights.
