Decided to see how well my flashes would bear against the sun. not bad i dnt think.

Haven't taken any photos for close to a year now. My wife suggested I dust off the old camera and flash. So in the evening we went for a walk-about with our friends along the Nipissing lakeshore.
Used one Sb-900 hard at about 30 degree camera left, trigered by radiopoppers, post processed in Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS5 with the Topaz 5 to boot!
Processed hard for hard lighting not what I would typically do for portrait work, but it seemed right at the time!
My friend made my day on wed. She brought me over her old canon, with telephoto lense and flash! I am going to see if it will still work this week.

Artists' Paintpots, Yellowstone National Park
As part of our 2021 trip to Yellowstone, Teton Crest Trail, and Wind River, we spent two days in Yellowstone National Park.
Spent a few days on a painting course at RHS Wisley. Went up a day early to enjoy the gardens. I loved the striking purple alliums against the acid green of the euphorbia.
