after 14 years and more than 330.000 kms we had to separate from our beautiful Rover 75 - a sad loss - we have a lot of nice pictures...here are some of 2015...

I love playing board games, but the OH isn't so keen. However, he will play simple games like Machi Koro.
Five map projections, in the shape of five classes of vertebrae (amphibian, bird, reptile, mammal, and fish).
Living on a hobby farm, you can imagine we like to keep a variety of farm animals, but we always seem to have more than our fair share of cats. But we don't mind...very much. :)
One of the regular musical acts at California Adventure, "Five & Dime."
This is a 16:9 ratio image. I used Nik Software's Analog Efex Pro to mimic an older photo and selectively re-added in the colors of the background (blue tiles, green leaves on the trees) and the performers to keep the image looking like I had captured the image on an older film camera.
From Wikipedia:
In traditional Chinese philosophy, natural phenomena can be classified into the Five Elements (Chinese: 五行; pinyin: wǔxíng): wood, fire, earth, metal, and water (木, 火, 土, 金, 水; mù, huǒ, tǔ, jīn, shǔi).
These elements were used for describing interactions and relationships between phenomena. Five phases is the more appropriate way of translating wǔxíng — literally, "five goings". Traditional Taijiquan schools relate them to footwork and refer to them as five "steps".
The doctrine of five phases describes both a generating (生, shēng) cycle and an overcoming or restraining (克, kè) cycle of interactions between the phases. In the generating cycle, wood generates fire; fire generates earth (ash); earth generates metal; metal generates water (if metal is left out at night water will have condensed on it by morning); water generates wood. In the overcoming cycle, wood grows in earth; earth absorbs water; water quenches fire; fire melts metal; metal cuts wood.

The loco subsequently worked the Liverpool to Manchester and return legs of the ‘15 Guinea special’ 1T57 to mark the end of steam on British Rail on 11 August, 1968. It was later preserved.

Barbie and Aldi girl (middle) model Five Below Strawberry Shortcake fashions. Some are a little tight on Aldi girl and her feet are way too big for the shoes. Flat footed Barbie can wear the Five Below flats.
I believe this photo is taken at Yate on the spur line from the South Wales line to join the Midland mainline at Yate. The photo shows a Black Five on a northbound express in the Summer of 1964, the last year that steam was diagrammed for some of these trains.
Five waxy monkey leaf frogs in a row. They secrete a waxy substance to seal their skin against loss of moisture and they're called monkey frogs because they walk rather than hopping.
Black 5 45232 has pulled up at Platform 2 at Bristol Temple Meads with a passenger train. The engine is leaking steam badly. There appears to be a heavy frost on the sleepers, which could date the photo to December 24, 1963, when 45232 brought in the 3.00 am from Leeds (1V28) into Bristol.

FIVE SD's lead 643 out of town - I'm still learning how to deal with compound angles on EMD's but you get the idea. NOTE: Taken on Metra/CP Property with permission.
We visited Newby Hall and Gardens, whilst in the Dales. The formal gardens are superbly kept and a favourite area, for me, wonderful ponds. I saw Banded Demoiselles and managed to get close [about 6 inches], on a breezy day to this five legged male my favourite Damselfly. I wanted to capture him posturing and flashing his wings but those shots were longer and not as detailed!
Hm.
not in love with this. played with coloring a lot, but I still don't think I'm satisfied.
+1 in comments.
it's actually a little confetti heart on my finger.
it was hot as the dickens today.
really tired today. :/ sorry if it's disappointing?
I need to learn a lot more about cameras & photography. I don't know how to do much at all, so right now I'm just trying to find/make interesting content, which I imagine will get old in a year's time for this project. Especially considering I don't have human subjects & probably won't for awhile.
I just graduated so all my friends live in another state & all my friends from this town have moved on. So basically the only living thing I could really photograph currently are my pets :) haha. And my lack of local friendage probably explains a little bit of my new obsession/clinginess to Flickr & new contacts - just wanting some daily communication :)
You'll probably see more confetti photos (giving you a heads up!) Going to Joann's tomorrow & planning to buy more to play with.
OH! Also news. Flickr Pro. I wish they'd rename it.. I'm no pro. Anyways. I figured since it's like $2 a month, why not? At least for the year of my project. We'll see.
