1905 "Five Little Pigs"
Traditionally pub names had a pictorial representation, and the inn sign for inns named "Five Alls" showed five representative figures, each in appropriate garb with a motto underneath. This has a number of variations, but usually included a monarch saying "I rule (for) all or "I govern all", a bishop or minister saying "I pray for all", a soldier saying "I fight for all", and a farmer saying "I pay for all". In modern signs, often John Bull pays for all. The fifth figure was often a lawyer saying "I plead for all", sometimes omitted, in which case the inn would be named "Four Alls".

The burger place had not opened yet for the day: it is still in business. The strip joint had one of the most notorious neons in Montreal, but also one of the best. I was there to photograph the Super Sexe neon which was dark because the club had failed after a 50 year run.
I posted the unlit neon sign previously, so today a link (below) to Lisa T.'s lit neon shows it in all its glory . I hope that the sign is saved for a neon museum if the place does not reopen.

My birth mother (Heather) passed away three weeks ago today (Friday May 26th) so my wife and I travelled to Rotorua in the North Island for the funeral and a catch up with my sisters and other family - sisters that less than two years ago I knew nothing about. I was adopted shortly after my birth and then my biological parents went on to marry (2½ years after my birth) and have four daughters, so they are my full sisters!
My sisters found out about my existence exactly three years ago (June 2020) and began a search for me through official channels. In mid-July 2021 I was notified by the authorities that I was the subject of their search, and in February 2022 met them (and mother, and many extended family members) for the first time.
The funeral was on 1st June 2023. Obviously I am the oldest. Photo shows Janette (#3), Brenda (#5), me (#1), Christine (#4) and Susan (#2).
Heather was a jigsaw nut and had completed around 3000 jigsaws over the last few years, hence a few jigsaws in front of her casket.
