The machined steel fitting and turned aluminium boot attached to a stainless plate and fastened through the woodwork with an 8mm cap head screw. The aluminium piece was further worked to create the concave surface which allows the left hand crank to clear the fitting. I'm very pleased to have finally finished this piece of work. It has consumed far too much of my time.
I think the reason the lacing looks a little funny is because I didn't bone it all the way down (it stops about 5inches up from the bottom) . I also had a harder time straightening out the laces down there... I think I'm going to have to add a second set of "bunny ears" for this fitting!
The problem is also partially because I had bent down and moved around in my corset before taking these pictures.
You can still tell the underbust is too large, too--even in the back.

Near side indicator mounted up on the front cycle wing. Regardless of what colour I paint the car, the wings are going to be painted black so this little housing should blend in nicely
Hollister fitting room. The ingeniusness in this is the spotlight up top. This was the best picture I could get without taking too long in the fitting room. That spotlight really makes it so everything else is dark except you. It has that godly effect. Pretty neat.
Despite a lot of work with a file I'll still need some thick rubber to seal those gaps. I'm not convinced the factory has got the pattern quite right, or they used the wrong one!!
Now I know why these guys get paid so much!
Replaced two aging valves under the kitchen sink, both laundry tub fittings & removed the old hose & installed a new "shrink hose" for outdoor use. And yes they do work but have plastic fittings, we'll see how long it lasts.
View after fitting the N/S top rear wishbone. The angle looks all wrong but seems to match reference shots from when it was on the donor. I had started to wonder if I'd got the sides mixed up. I think that the top spring seat was slightly forward and angled where as the Marlin one is directly overhead

Day 291-This happened today which seemed fitting.
Took Nietz to the doctor again today and got him another shot of steroids and then got him some anti-inflammatory medicine. Talked to the vet (verge of tears) about what we need to do. He's still checking about the oncologist and what our options are.
He's doing so much for us.

The plan: Weld square tubing across the scissors jack ($5 at a local pawn shop), insert square bar with a 1/4 inch pin protruding vertically from one end...pin the bar in the tubing with a ball-detent pin. Slide the jack under the bracket and engage the 1/4 inch hole. Lift the wheel.
Reversing the square bar in the tubing will allow the jack to be cranked from the front of the aircraft for either wheel. I may have to extend the base of the jack to keep it outside of the lifting point so it doesn't tip over.
