I have never done a face down Tuesday before. I giggled the whole time I was doing it. We went to a super awesome Asian market, Uwajimaya, and I knew I wanted to try this somewhere near there. Tried a couple in front of the store, but they didn't turn out. Started to give up, but then iLan pointed these sculptures out. I like how it turned out! I think I will try to do these consistently. It feels good to try new things, who cares if people don't know what you are up to! FDT!

I was given a dozen iris bulbs by a friend who told me they were mixed colors. I had no idea what was going to bloom; so far I have irridescent white and this one with purple edges. I can't tel about the others yet.

Although it's dated because this was taken almost two years ago and I've planted a whole new lawn and removed the trees on the left side of the house for some sunlight, I always loved the shots I got this particular evening. We hadn't been in the house more than maybe two months and I think the occasion was I had just replaced all the window stops in order to free the windows from their state of unopen-ness cos some moron painted them all shut. And I had started to clear some of the insane-ness of shrubbery from around the house (this shot was taken right after we moved in so maybe it's more clear what I mean by 'insane-ness of shrubbery').
Anyways, it was really cool to open the windows. I sort of can't wait for summer again and evenings like this. So much more to do on this place ... and someday I'll get a cool porch swing. After I have the house painted.

Just 98 minutes before being 'spotted' in Alsager, the Newcastle depot stalwart was doing its bit to brighten the west end of Church Street - helped greatly by the Butcher's Arms and all its festoonery.

First registered in 08/01/1975, this nice British Leyland classic is seen here on Dalton Road, Barrow-in-Furness. It is seen here on display at a classic car and motorcycle show organised by Barrow BID in order to increase footfall in the town centre. Photo taken on 21/07/2018. © Peter Steel 2018.
I normally do about a dozen First Communion sessions each spring. This seems to be a market that comes to me... I don't seek it out - so there is still a need for good classic First Communion portraits. I've really grown to enjoy it - the kids look good and feel good. I try and capture the depth of the occasion, without getting too schmaltzy.

This was when we knew our trip would be wonderful: When God peeks from behind a cloud over your airplane, you know the destination MUST be wonderful.
