Growing up in South Africa and spending many holidays in safari parks I had never seen a leopard in the wild before. This was my first encounter with a leopard cub which I spotted just sitting on the side of the sand road not far from the Halali rest camp in the Etosha National Park in Namibia. After about 30 seconds staring at each other the leopard walk into the road, sniffed my cars number plate and then casually crossed the road before disappearing in the long grass.
