Robots were in action on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Penn State York when 35 teams of middle and high school students took part in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) South Central PA Regional Qualifier, a robotics competition. More than 500 attendees, including competitors, volunteers, and spectators attended the event. The winning alliance, comprised of three teams, were the Javengers from Enola, Pennsylvania; Cubix^3 from Hampstead, Maryland; and Sparks from Villanova, Pennsylvania. The finalist alliance, or second place winners, included Imagine It from Palmyra, Pennsylvania; Metal Works from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and GearHounds, from York, Pennsylvania. This was the seventh time the campus has hosted an FTC event.

Best viewed large. Not the best photo, but I am excited. The thing is really tiny.

The first reformed church in town. Shot on Ilford FP4 and developed in Ilford Ilfosol 3 for 4.5min. This shot really shows the poor performance of the simple meniscus lens in this Anscoflex. the center is pretty sharp, and the edges are terrible. What look like a giant crow flying in above the church is really a defect in the negative, or a scratch I made while loading it onto the developing spool!
