I've gotten back on the horse, determined to do better than my previous best. One tool that came to light because of my disaster is a little "tool" that allows you to download any or all photos you have on flickr. You can also download a group at a time, preserving the organization of your photos. Thanks striatic for the link to the great downloader:

Thanks to CN's newly revised rule "L" in the USOR, I was able to snap some pics of the first snowfall of the winter. The engineer and I died at Brimson, and due to the snow were unable to get a van. Another crew was brought up on a Northbound and took our train the rest of the way into Two Harbors. This is near MP 10 on CN's Iron Range Sub. Taken on Oct 27th, 2010 at 0810.

Alluminous light art festival Almere 2023

After a successful first edition in 2022, the second edition of ALLUMINOUS started again. Along a two-hour walking route around the Weerwater in Almere, visitors to ALLUMINOUS experience eight magical light artworks and a beautiful side program. In 2022, 30,000 visitors attended ALLUMINOUS, marking an overwhelmingly successful start to the new festival. This year, 34,000 visitors came to the Weerwater. Black

Pencil joins as a program partner In addition to ALLUMINOUS' collaborations with Almere theater companies Vis à Vis, Suburbia, Gouden Haas and BonteHond, Almere's ensemble Black Pencil will also join as a program partner in 2023. Curator of ALLUMINOUS Ward Janssen says: “In the coming years, Black Pencil will collaborate with ALLUMINOUS on special light art projects. Sound and music are used in the light art genre, giving the projects their own specific artistic character. We are proud that Black Pencil is starting this pioneering route at ALLUMINOUS 2023. Together with artist Jurjen Alkema, they are turning Schipperplein in Almere into a new technological experience in which architecture merges with light and sound as an experiment in space and time.” Partners and makers In addition to the work of Black Pencil with Jurjen Alkemade,

ALLUMINOUS presents 4 other new light artworks created especially for the festival. To this end, ALLUMINOUS collaborates with Almere theater companies Vis à Vis, Suburbia and Gouden Haas, each of which put forward a talented theater maker from their own network who linked the organization to visual artists. The resulting duos who create new works of art on commission are Maaike Fransen and Juul Dekker (on behalf of Vis à Vis), MAISON the FAUX and Linda Bosch (on behalf of Suburbia), Oceanic (artist name of DJ and sound artist Job Oberman) and Theun Mosk (on behalf of Gouden). Hare). They create light artworks that go beyond the traditions of light art and strengthen this new art form with theatrical quality.

Youth theater company BonteHond selected two young theater makers Zindzi Witte and Serano Pinas who created an educational light artwork with schoolchildren from Almere. In addition, ALLUMINOUS collaborates with Light Art Collection Amsterdam and Flevoland's talent development program Carte Blanche to present additional light artworks in the program. Artworks from Light Art Collection are presented by artists UxU Studio and Vendel & De Wolf. Carte Blanche presents a work of art by Iwan Smit during ALLUMIOUS. Almere organizations M. and Circuloco organize their own activities along the ALLUMINOUS route.

Students finally found themselves back on campus for the first time since the week of Thanksgiving in 2020 in early February 2021.

This is the first cake that I ever decorated. It's a classic pound cake with buttercream icing and real raspberries. Someone stuck their finger in it by accident, hence the triple berry bunch:) I've since learned that covering up mistakes and imperfections is all part of the game. Not the greatest picture, but this one has special meaning to me.
