Now that the meteorological winter has begun, it's time to catch up with editing the remaining photos from my travels in 2024.

First Yorkshire have a small fleet of courtesy buses which stand in for other buses whilst they receive the new "Olympia" livery at surrounding Yorkshire depots (one has ventured into Lancashire to Manchester) such as Rotherham, Doncaster and Bradford. Currently in the fleet are R registered Volvo B10BLEs which most were new to Sheffield Mainline in 1997. these were of the R781-790WKW batch of which have recently been withdrawn from service and some have bought themselves some more time by becoming courtesy vehicles for the surrounding area after refurbishment and repaint. Two other R reg type B10BLEs have been refurbished and repainted and distributed to Bradford (66101 R901BOU) and Doncaster (66112 R112BOU). Here 66112 R912BOU is seen in Doncaster.

I noticed this in Manchester Piccadilly and it looked odd to me being a high floor on the 33, but to be fair the timetable specifies Low Floor on some journeys so perhaps not that unusual. I’m not well up on the current bus scene so registrations and the like mean nothing to me but the fact that there is no electronic destination, for once not a camera fault, and the paper sticker in the windscreen showing 33 suggests this is not a usual allocation for this bus. A bit of research shows that the bus started life for First London and is a recent import to Manchester from First in South Yorkshire.
