Delmar Fire Dept was alerted by the Maryland side for a reported auto-ped accident. Paramedic A-74 arrived and requested aviation. Maryland State Police Trooper 4 responded and transported a trauma patient to Johns Hopkins. The accident was actually on the Delaware side of the border.

A wild fire broke out on Chobham Common at around 1130hrs on Monday 25.3.2019. Two pumps from Chobham and Camberley were initially sent. When Chobham arrived the OIC immediately made pumps 4 and shortly after requested 4 Landrovers. As the fire spread, the attendance increased until it reached Make Pumps 10, Water carriers 4, Landrovers 12 and Unimogs 4. Assistance came from Hampshire, Berkshire, London and West Sussex. Approx 32 hectares was destroyed in the fire. The STOP was returned at 1735hrs.
Maisto 1/64 models may now be considered just sub Mattel cheapo items but usually they are licensed castings of real vehicles but occasionally some appear to be of a generic design. This Fire Engine ladder truck has a cab design which could be based on any number of U.S. or Japanese pick-up trucks but its very hard to tell. This casting has been around for literally years though strangely it has taken me till September 2016 to actually get hold of one and thats because its part of a new 20 vehicle set currently on sale at ASDA. Its fairly well cast but ultimately its what it was designed to be and thats a cheap toy designed with a short lifespan at the hands of a play hungry child. Mint and boxed.

A Scania based fire engine of the Mid & West Wales Fire Brigade parked at the bus station. I suspect the crew were shopping for the relief at Aldi’s, the other side of the road.

Saturday, 14 October, 2017, was the first time I visited Winster just in time to make a pictorial record of a village local history "event" soon after it had happened.
As I drove down to the bottom of West Bank there was a crowd of people at the west end of Main Street blocking my way. A bystander told me that two vehicles had been on fire and the street was blocked off at both ends while the Fire Brigade cleaned up.
I parked my car and took these photos at two different times during the afternoon.
Fortunately, I understand that no one was hurt in the fire.
Two vehicles were completely burnt out and at least one other appeared to have been damaged. A nearby house suffered damage to windows.

1978 Dennis D series was in service from 1978 to 1992 at Moretonhampstead in Devon, and the call sign was 271. It came out of service after being in a road traffic accident but it was rebuilt and repainted then on delivery back ran into the back of a car and never returned to active service. more like this @ www.britishfirerescuepics.webs.com/
I guess it was no surprise to see the 2006 Generic Fire Engine back in the Matchbox line up as its been a favoured casting over many years, so much so that half the Chinese toy industry make their own lurid copies! What did surprise people though was the recycling of this older yellow and black City Fire Department livery, i'm sure the MBX Team arn't so devoid of ideas they needed to do this!
Definitely an acceptable Matchbox "original" with believable styling and a body which surprisingly remains largely metal! Bought from ASDA back in November 2017. Mint and boxed.

For a cheapo Chinese diecast this is one very impressive looking Fire Engine model with its modern cab design and huge rear apparatus. Made by a company called or uses the brand name Di Duo Le, its part of a small but perfectly formed range of different trucks all using this cab design which frustratingly I have yet to identify though I suspect may well be based on a domestic Chinese truck. Its a low priced model so naturally that huge and bulky rear bodywork is made of plastic but it feels robust enough and that smooth front end is made of metal with its painted features and detailed grille design. Bought directly from China. Mint and boxed.
